Review Showcase
I'll start off simply by saying I love this game, here's why.

I beat the game at release but with the DLC being available and some spare time on my hands I decided to have a fresh run through the main campaign and both DLC campaigns. Even though the main campaign was a second playthrough it still felt fun and refreshing battling through the masses of Uruk's in Mordor. I never really had a point in the game where I thought "oh f*&k sake, not this part again!". I do of course have likes and dislikes so let me give a brief list of each.

Likes:
- Textures & Lighting effects are beautiful! Seriously.. they made a very pretty game.
- Enemy facial animations are really cool.
- Combat is pretty fun once you have a few upgrades.
- The story is pretty good and opens up a lot of possibilities within middle-earth and had me asking a lot of questions.
- The main characters are pretty interesting and the script betwen them is well written. I had a few giggles over the dialogue between Talion and Torvin.
- Lord of the Hunt DLC is great. It adds several new abilities and mechanics to the game and is more of an extension of the main story than a spin-off.

Dislikes:
- While most of the wall-climbing issues we see in other games have been polished, there are still a few kinks that could be improved upon to make the action feel more fluent. (e.g. hitting a wall at a diagonal allows you to run up the wall but you won't grab on to anything)
- There are occassional moments where an uruk's eyes pop out of it's face! Usually in slow-mo scenes where the uruk is expressing fear, or shock. Only happened two or three times in the playthrough though.

The next part gets a section of it's own as I want to express that my disappointment with The Bright Lord DLC doesn't reflect on the rest of the game, which is brilliant.

The Bright Lord:
- Way too short. Even with all side missions and collectibles it only took about 45-60 minutes to complete this DLC.
- DLC should have been sold as Shadow of Mordor: Horde Mode (First Mission: Brand 10 Uruks, Survive 2 minutes. Next Mission: Brand 15 Uruks, survive 1 minute, Next Mission: Brand.... you get the picture.)
- Spoiler! The final fight didn't fit the cinematic cutscenes. (Cinematic) Celebrimbor vs Sauron on a battlfield surrounded by their respective armies. (Actual) Celebrimbor + 5 War Chiefs vs Sauron + a bunch of standard uruks in one of the fortresses, surrounded by buildings. After the fight is over, Celebrimbor is somehow standing atop a tower...?? Seriously what?
- This DLC simply felt uninspired and as if it was simply thrown on, to an otherwise great game, to squeeze that udder dry.

All in all though, the game is worth it and once you have completed all of the story gameplay there are trials to test your abilities. It's intense :D

TL;DR
Base game rocks
Lord of the Hunt rocks
Bright Lord blows
