Early Access Review
I feel asleep one night from pure exhaustion while watching the Genius dayo! I wake up to go to the bathroom and I notice that Henya is playing this game. So for a bit I seen the silly shenanigans, then decided to buy this game. Not only for myself but for a few friends. Why not it seems like a fun co-op game to screw around with and troll friends on. I'd recommend it, sometimes you need a game like this. Plus, I kinda dig the ascetics and filters on the game.

If you like a fast pace MMORPG that you can play casually this is the game for you. Sadly, the community isn't as great on the Global Release as JP. I've put many hours into the game. For some its a quite addictive game. Fashion is end game and I was sold the second I could make a femboy character.

I have an Associates in Fine Arts and I don't care for Adobe's rentware or software as a service approach.
So, I was in the market for a Photoshop alternative for my digital painting workflow. I knew I wouldn't be able to find a program that would give me the Photoshop experience I had in college.

This program comes very close to the small usage of Photoshop when it comes to painting. It shares many of the keyboard shortcuts. It doesn't have as many brushes or brush options that Photoshop currently has. However, you can make custom brushes with almost all of the functionality that you could apply to brushes. The functionality does vary on the base type of brush, Eraser, dot, pen, water color, etc.

It also lacked the various presets of swatches Photoshop has. This isn't really an issue for me. I was able to import my own swatches. I don't typically use the color picker to select colors I just use my own palette based on swatches. However, it does have many modes for the color picker. In Photoshop I usually created a layer for my palette then put the colors I wanted to use and blended there. I use the color sampler (the alt key same as Photoshop) and light pressure on my stylus when I'm blending.

One thing I like the most that out of the program is the pan, zoom, rotate system. This also shares similarities with Photoshop and that it uses the same keyboard shortcut (spacebar). If I'm not mistaken it is more functional than the one Photoshop CS6 ships with. I believe OpenCanvas has a better system for that.

The panels can be moved around on the program as well. That is also something that can be done with Photoshop. I happen to have them arranged the way I had them in Photoshop. The program doesn't feature the ability to save different layouts. However, this program is focused on the painting side of raster editing. Photoshop on the other hand is a all-around industry standard raster graphics software.

I've done a a lot of comparisons to how this program shares many features and workflow to Photoshop. OpenCanvas is a very good alternative to the program I once used. I've been really stasified with the program thus far. If you are looking for a Photoshop alternative or your first paid art program, OpenCanvas is a good choice.

You want the real driving simulator? Well here it is a true driving simulator. Built for mods and its a great experience. Sadly, if you wanted the simcade career this game fails. Not to worry there is a mod for that. Want a time of day and dynamic weather? there's a mod for that. However, this isn't the case of a broken game and poor implementation of concept this was a pure project from the ground up. I can't say that this is a game per say but driving simulation software. To expand a piece of software there is a community effort going on sites like racedepartment.

There's no mistake what this game wants to be that is Sega's Hang-On. I'm confused on the use of "Super" though as the bikes in this game don't have the turbo that makes Super Hang-On so super. The tracks are fitting albiet a bit short side and lacking in the variety in the tack. They could take more notes from Super Hang-on in that aspect. However, the game plays as you would expect from a 3D interpretation of Hang-on. In the aspect of the bike automatically recentering when you release the analog stick. As with Hang-on and Super Hang-on you have to recenter the bike manually. As far as the visuals its pretty simple with some nice eye candy in the Hanami track. Basically, Press Garden act 2 for Hang-on. However, it looks like Super Hang-on as it would through "rose tinted glasses" This is a short game so your millage may vary as you won't get much out of ROI.

Sonic 3 and Kunckles maybe the definitive game setup for the Sega Genesis. Those games nearly prefected the sonic fromula. This takes the core features and many of the levels from Sonic 3 and Kunkles and gives players an all new way to experince Sonic the Hedgehog. If you never played a 2d sonic and you could have only one sonic game this is the one to have. Though it feels like a fan game but offically published from Sega themselves. It its a love letter to the series that any game should have in their game collection.

It's been a while since I've found a racing game that I really enjoy. Gran Turismo 2 is a game I could put hours into. This is right up there beside it. I highly recommend this title. It will likely be the Dirt game of the Hipsters. It has a solid interface, a solid soundtrack for the replays and menus. It aslo has very solid Force Feedback to get the most out of the experince. Not sure if you would call it a sim or simcade. Its close to a sim as it is unforgving. Though punctures and recovery's would make it more of a simcade at the cost of a timed penalty added on to the drivers time. I picked up this game because I was looking for Pikes Peak in different games. It will be the last of the non Polyphony titles that features the Colorado Mountain. Thanks Kazunori for making a public road not so public anymore. It features decades of rally cars including the golden era of Group B. The game even has Gran Turismo's simcade setup system. This is for drivers to capitalize on their cars potiential. The game will beat you up on its various tracks, surfaces and conditions. DiRT Rally is one of Codemasters finest creations.

Unlike, the Racedriver GRID where I precieved it as a Gran Turismo for pc. This time I knew what I'm getting into. Its a arcade style racer that bridges the gap between Gran Turismo and Ridge Racer. Leaning more towards Ridge Racer. The game does have good force feedback for a wheel. Theres a good chance that it was an after though for this game. The game ditches the money scheme for a fan counter. Gone is the professional style garage that was featured in the orginal game. Now the 3d menu envroment takes place in some messy and boring suburban garage. The race interface is a computer screen ripe for the Youtube generation. The racing is the same as in Grid with a competly different set of tracks. The games plot seems to be centered arround building some fantasy racing format. Your goal is to race different race teams to draw in the fans an the teams. Sure the theme is nice but it over shadows the fact of the races. For me it takes away from the game. I feel as if Codemaster is either searching for their niche or is trying to create one where there isn't a need. Like all developers there are hits and misses and for me this game is a miss.

Its what you expect from the title an arcade racer. Instead of beating the clock and doing rather well for extra time to the check point. This game is based on how long you can keep from wiping out. Its not a matter of how long you will last or more like when you wipe out. It has the Synthwave soundtrack and the astetics to follow. Straight forward controlls and makes a causal arcade like game. Instead of collection points it about your longest endrance run. It does have a mior downside it's a large game to be built with Unity. I won't say its a higly recommended game. Its worth it if you get it on a sale and want something to play occasionally.

Neon Drive fit right in with Synthwave and Vaporwave. Its got the 80's sci-fi futuristc stylings. It feels and looks like a tribute to arcade gaming. Not to mention has some arcade-like bits in it as well. Also, the game can be quite a resoruce hog to appear generations old in terms of the visuals. The game I what I would consider a causal game. In the case of this game it's a bad thing because of the difficulty it seems to have. It seems to require more skill and timing than one would expect one a title of this nature. Its rhythum based in a sense some come rhythimic parts seem a little too fast for the music. The game typically features three check points per level. Sadly, they aren't spaced out in expected percentages of the level such as 25%, 50%, and 75%. In fact level 5 lives up to this by not featuring a check point at 25% of the level where it has a transition. Level three seemed to feature this minor grime as well. The title may seem to say drive however, I didn't have that feeling while playing the game. Sure there is a boxy car that reminds us of a 80's Camaro or dare I say fox body mustang. However, a player would expect something of the nature of outrun or any other 2D arcade style racing game. That is endless and requires the player to be quite effiecent at getting to the next checkpoint. Also the off part is that the allows you to hit things twice. I would have pefered a thrid time. I now see why the game is so cost effective on game key reselling sites. I'd have a hard time recommending this game on soundtrack and astetics. Its just not the game I would share with other vaporwave and syntwave enthusaists. If you like rhythm based games then it might be worth the time.
