Bad Soundtrack, but rest of game is great.

The AI is really interesting, I enjoy the idea of the game and it's still only in the early stages! I suggest you buy this game even at the $5 price because it really is worth it!

This is nothing like Doom 2016 which was truly a Doom game. I loved it so much. I had a blast and played it through over a weekend. This game I started it and I quit after however long I have in it.

The game fails to fully acknowledge the previous game. This one is entirely on it's own. You don't need to play the previous one because even after doing that, I still had no clue what was happening.

You remember the addicting play style of Doom 2016? Yup. All gone. You now have a hand holding fest that locks you in a room, tells you to kill mindlessly until it shows you a new area to progress too. no exploring really, sometimes there is a tiny little place to explore, but nothing very huge like in 2016.

This game is a very dumbed down and watered down 2016. It even dropped the map maker. This game is complete garbage in comparison to it's predecessor. I would never buy this game even if it were free. That's how much I hate this game. By far the worst Doom I've played. It's just Halo, but with Doomguy instead of Master Chief.

Bought it for $25.99. It was truly a great price! My buddy and I were looking forward to binge playing all the campaigns and have a good time!

If I hosted, he faced horrendous graphical stuttering. He couldn't play with it, so he tried to host.

If he hosted, I faced a couple seconds of input lag on the norm.

I looked up the problem and found out 343 has been saying for a long time now that they were trying to fix it. Latest I could find was a year ago. This bundle would be a FANTASTIC deal for $25.99, but unfortunately when the campaigns are nearly impossible to play multiplayer and the online multiplayer has hit detection problems amongst other things... This game isn't worth your time. If you want to play this singleplayer only, you can have fun with it.

The game was pretty fun, but I would only get it if it's on sale due to how short it is.

Trouble in Terrorist Town, Murder, and Wario Ware if they had a weird three way love child.

Cons first.

- Mostly the same weapons found throughout.
- Terrible storyline that is barely even there.
- Same 9 Side Mission types that mostly look and feel identical
- No enemy variety after the main intro to the game. They may look different. They aint.
- Add-ons to guns barely matter until late game.
- Talents never matter. They all suck.
- Upgrade system had potential, but serves nearly no purpose after buying the 1000 point upgrade.
- 99% of appearance items are mute colors or plain colors
- Cover system is super wonky or doesn't work period
- Customization at the start is lack luster
- Enemies can one tap the hell outta you and they're bullet sponges no matter what.
- All enemies are identical. The bosses are just better sponges and can kill you by looking at you.
- The Grind of your life that is beyond boring



Pros

- Gunplay is pretty good. It was very enjoyable when the rest of the game wasn't in it's way.



1/10. I will NEVER play it again. Games you can get that are similar, but are much better would be Borderlands 2 or Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is free and can be much better in terms of story and missions (but not by much) and Borderlands 2 is an absolute masterpiece with similar gunplay and a 3000x better story.

Don't waste your money on this. It isn't worth it. Pay $5 or less and you can live happily.
