I’d like to preface this recommendation by saying that this is a fun game I enjoyed my time with it and if you have a lot of friends who are willing to play it with you can have a good time with this game.

Unfortunately, after 60 hours and reaching level 100 I have to say that I can’t recommend this game in its current state. When this game released it was borderline broken and although it has gotten better it’s still not where it should be for a $40 price point, it’s still plagued with glitches, bugs and other game breaking problems. As hard as Illfonic has been working to fix things it’s been two steps forward and one step back in terms of them patching the game as the patches they have been releasing have been breaking things about as much as they have been fixing them.

But the cherry on top this melted sundae of a game is that Illfonic had the audacity to release a broken product then start releasing paid DLC before fixing it. Although the human cosmetics are okay, the Klown cosmetics in the base game are meager and uninspired, any interesting skin in the game had been released as paid DLC and I'm including the unlockable stuff for completing challenges in that comparison.

If someone were to ask me if they should get this game, I would not be able to tell them yes unless they have a group of friends that they can fill a lobby with and even then, I think $40 is asking too much as of the writing of this recommendation. If you are really a fan of the franchise and want to buy this game I would wait for a steep discount and if you are just curious about the game just check out some gameplay videos and reviews before you before you make the purchase.
