The story and the characters are so uninteresting and bland. None of the missions are interesting and the main cast of companions that they try to push on you from the beginning are so cookie cutter trope characters. The other companions you can get are ACTUALLY interesting and fun but they're so barebones that it doesnt feel worth it to play with them.

From the beginning you do like TWO missions and everyone is INSTANTLY praising you like youre the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ messiah or a messenger of death. The lore and story are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring.

It really feels like they had the idea to do spaceships and make space combat fun and interesting and everything related to shipbuilding fun and ignore every other aspect of updating the gameplay or making an interesting story.

When you do missions you have to fast travel back and forth between planet systems which is so annoying with bethesda load times.

It's just so sad to me because I love bethesda games specifically for the story and interesting characters and its all just so MID.

You really feel like a GAMER when you move up through the different difficulties. Other games just have the difficulties off the bat but working to actually improve and seeing that progress when you can get through levels without getting hit is just so satisfying.

Who needs a social life when you have this?
