(This is a review of a veteran of the game, and does not contain spoilers)

This game is a masterpiece and massively undercommunicated which makes the game to be unknown to many, or at times even underrated.

This is a free to play looter shooter with rpg elements and fast paced gameplay, here are some basic inputs for fast reading:

PROS:
Story - Just incredible, and you can experience everything as a new player at any given time, so joining now, or in a year, wont have consequences on how limiting your experience will be.

Gameplay - Is like no other, fast paced parkour with very satisfying gun/melee play.
Free to play game with no pay to win elements, I never spent a euro/dollar in this game and I have everything it can offer including the cosmetics, the only thing you can buy in this game with real money is to speed up the process of acquiring gear/skins, which in my opinion takes away the fun.
The game offers you a good trading system that helps you farm the premium currency very easily with in-game items.

Playstyle - The variety in playstyles is immense with over 50 warframes to play (aka classes), each one with unique utilities, without mentioning combos between weapons and modding (system of augmenting gears).
The content is nearly endless, if you manage to reach the end then you are not playing the game correctly.
The game offers you various content types for each type of gamer, if you want a roguelike experience and lay back, go to duviri, if you want to farm for interesting mods go do nightmare or perhaps you want to try your luck daily at a fusion core, then do sorties, its endless.

Graphics - The game may be old, but do not let that fool you, the game is constantly receiving updates and new "expansions" that are all free, and with that, graphics also receive some updates.

Sound Effects - crisp and satisfying.

Music - go play the main quests and let the orchestra in intense moments make you tear and cry.

CONS:

Foundry - I have been giving this feedback since 6 years now, the foundry (crafting) system is really bad, locking people out for almost a week to be able to build a new warframe to experience, is just daunting and can really push away new players, given that you can speed up the process with the premium currency, makes the game feel pay to win when it isnt, and can lead a new player's experience down the drain. I have had this happen to friends of mine that I tried my best to bring into the game.

Market/trading - this game is missing an auction house, the trading system in this game needs some polishing and is missing crucial features. Resorting to an external website to do the trading makes no sense in 2024.

Overall, if you never played this gem of game, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Hope this review helps someone deciding or not to give a bit of your time to this game, in a period where hundreds of companies are fighting for our attention, and we do not have so much time to try all of the games out there.

It's the best ARPG out there, don't overthinking it, just play it.
