Very excellent roguelike with great dev support that really scratches the MMBN itch in a great way. The learning curve can be a bit tough at first but it becomes very satisfying after finally figure out some specific fights, and the dev has been making it better for newer players without sacrificing challenge in ascension runs. I like the music and visuals and its overall just super fun to play. Getting into a rhythm with a well curated deck is what I'm here for, and its a good time.

For negatives, some of the fights are obnoxious even if you learn them (Selicy pls), the lore is kind of nothing, and the game definitely does the deckbuilder thing where the game just gives you nothing but garbage sometimes, which feels bad. It can also be very frustrating starting out when it seems like you die before you learn the telegraphs. Overall I don't think any of these really make me recommend the game any less, and I feel good about the dev to continuing to improve things even if it feels a little psuedo-early access.

I like it! You should play it!

While a pretty enjoyable crpg overall, with interesting characters and cool explorations of the shadowrun mythos, the game is just too broken to be worth recommending.

Loading times range from 3-10 minutes if you don't have an SSD, and occassionally levels don't load at all and require all sorts of restarting and game verification to fix. Plot triggers also fail sometimes, and for a game of its visual fidelity it runs really poorly on a mid-range machine. This is extra frustrating when the stealth decking sequences don't allow for tactical movement for some reason, and end up requiring constant reloading to succeed. If you don't have a SSD you're going to have a real slow time.

Fantastic RPG with some of the most fun combat I've ever played in a turn based anything. Manages to be hilarious while also spookyall without mood disonance. If you enjoyed Earthbound or OFF there's something for you here.

A masterpiece of a puzzler. Writing and plot are witty, thought provoking, and paced excellently. Settings and music are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gorgeous. Puzzles are fun, though the difficulty curve is a little on the easy side besides a few of the puzzles which are straight up nonsense, but at the end of the day they're clever and interesting (and they make you feel clever for solving them), and the ambiance make some of the things that I usually find irritating in puzzlers not so bad (i.e. its so pleasant I don't mind having to retry a puzzle many times).

Definitely worth full price for ~20 hours for one playthrough.

A+ geargate game. Fun combat, fun/challenging platforming, neat artstyle, and really funny writing. Occassional stunlockage gets annoying, and some of the bosses are just a little bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but otherwise just a really great game. Kinda short though, only 13 hours to 100% it.
