Buggy, knowing Frontier they'll fix some bugs quickly and ignore some of them for years.

Still a lot of fun, especially if you're a Zoo Tycoon type of guy.
Core game play in "Franchise mode" is making money, "conservation points" from breeding and trading with other players (or releasing to wild for a fraction of the amount) and just designing a nice enclosure for the animals and making the park nice for visitors. You make more money and "CP" by having attractive animals which you can breed yourself or buy from the market.
The best animals require you to trade for them from other players to begin with, I don't think the good exotic animals are ever in the in-game cash shop...

You can do some wacky designs for enclosures and buildings but it's a lot of work. Some of the controls are fine, some of them are very buggy. Placing stuff down is sometimes a chore just because a keybind randomly decides to stop working and only a reboot would fix it for a few minutes.
Micromanaging staff is sometimes annoying too, the AI is broken more or less for everyone it seems.

There are also other gamemodes but haven't tried them yet, Freeplay is infinite money and other options, there's a career mode with the tutorial (did this in beta and haven't done it yet on release) and missions, there are also challenges that I will try later.

Lots of animals to play with, with more to come it would seem.
