This game's writing has stuck with me since I played it more than a decade ago, and while it's not required to play this before the sequel, I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this game, it gives cozy vibes. It's small and lacklustre when it comes to configuration options, but for how cheap it is, I personally didn't mind. I had a fun time with it. It's a low stakes survival RPG with a cute design, if that interests you then I would definitely recommend it. It elicits the feeling of drinking hot soup in the winter.

That said, the devs appear to have abandoned any further development, and the game is still unfinished. I liked where they were going with it, and I still stand by my review from earlier, but this game, at time of review update, appears to be dead. So keep that in mind if you're interested in picking this up during a sale.
