Tried to pick it up with a couple skirmishes. In the beginning level < 5 zone the game just matches you against preformed groups (I ran up against exact same team of 3 for every single game). Meanwhile, your ability to community in a pick up group is non-existent and I get teamed with the same two level 1s. I can only assume this game is already dying with no new players.

Looking at the reviews, it looks like a bunch of ASDs from the beta creaming over dragons and people trying to pick up the game essentially being used as fodder for full premade teams. Even the people who recommend the game do so in spite of the terrible matchmaking, but the way I see it, this game does not have anything beyond PvP so if the matchmaking is trash and the community is trash, then so is the game.

Broke all my installed mods for my birthday, I was going to spend my birthday and thanksgiving break on Skyrim but spent it fixing this ♥♥♥♥ instead just in time to go back to work. ♥♥♥♥ Todd Howard

It's just not good, Played it for nostalgia, but the fact that 343 put in no effort into a port besides making it run is a little depressing.
Multiple missing features that are now common in modern PC games have been brought up repeatedly and left unaddressed. Some issues are obvious though minor hang-ups that remain sitting there.
I regret both the money I spent on this software and the time I spent playing this game trying to enjoy it. Even if I enjoyed Halos 1-3 and Reach when they initially came out, a lot of improvements have been made to first person shooters and multiplayer experiences.
From a historical note its kind of interesting to see all the weird things people used to think were fun, this includes:
games where you spawn with a plasma pistol and an smg and the enemy team all get rocket launchers
games where the enemy team gets to have a full roster and half your team disconnects or afks the entire game
these are the only two multiplayer game modes
keep in mind leaving a game to just start another one somehow gives you a penalty
The best element is probably the Halo 1-3 campaigns. Reach multiplayer is at least polished and feels more modern. However, its gameOne of the most laughable elements is the Halo 2 Special/Anniversary Edition which one would think would be a better version of Halo 2 but instead just makes everything dark and difficult to see.
