This game is EXACTLY what I expected it to be.

Firstly I would like to point out that I have started "Let's Create! Pottery" using the beta version of Oculus Link and naturally, the developers would not have designed the game around that software meaning there would be a few problems but fortunately, the only issue I ran into was my hands in game being a little too far forward from their normal position. You will notice this issue but at the same time, it does not make the game unplayable in the slightest.

Now I have stated the headset and the only issue I have had, let's get into the pros and "not really" cons.

Anybody new could enjoy this game as shown by the tutorial at the beginning. The mechanics are told via a few picture icons however I did end up not knowing how to paint my first pot but I did find out how by mistake (the option was on my left wrist). I am sure the game explained this but I must have missed it some how. The icons were changing a little too quick for me, maybe a chime when you perform a step could help to keep the gamer alerted at the fact they are passing steps of the tutorial.

The game mechanics are exactly the same as the Smartphone counterpart. You can mold the clay using your hands or a laser pointer, both work great and I find that this game is much easier than the mobile version due to having the freedom to really get close to your work of art and completing the final touches with accuracy. The painting and decal work is fun however it would be nice if we could grab a brush and paint the pot for real, possibly picking it up with the left hand and painting it with the right for example.

Aesthetically the game is beautiful with the music complimenting the zen-like atmosphere. I preferred completing the pot so I could bake it as the sky box would change from day to night and the mood/lighting felt much better. It would be fantastic if we could pick between a constant day or night cycle but I do understand the day light helps you to see the pot as you are sculpting it.

If you enjoyed the mobile version of Let's Create! Pottery then you are going to love this however this game doesn't just cater to it's older fans, a new player could easily get into this, I will gladly vouch for it. Thank you to the developers for bringing this to VR and if you do read the reviews, please port it over to the Oculus Quest, this type of game would be very welcome on their storefront.

Early Access Review
After enjoying the first title, I decided to get Pierhead Arcade 2 as soon as I noticed it was available and unfortunately I have to say that the game has a few issues.

I am running PA2 using the Oculus Rift and the tutorial boards are showing off the new Steam Index controllers which is fine but the issues come from the very start when the fireworks are going off and the rumble feature goes crazy in the Touch controllers. It gets worse with the teleport feature, the first game had a teleport feature with rotation using the thumbsticks and for some reason PA2 does not, what is the reason for that? I don't have 360 tracking and the first game had a great locomotion system so I don't understand why this one does not.

I understand the game has been out for one day at the time of this review so I'm sure things are going to be fixed and sorted in due time but I just can't get why the simple things from the first game were not carried over.

Regardless, I am excited to play the game when (and if) fixes regarding the movement come in the near future. I'm sure if you have 360 tracking, you'll enjoy this.

One of my favorite VR games right now and it works great with a 1050ti and FX 8350 setup (This is one of the most optimised games I've played in VR with no dropped frames or issues whatsoever). If I were to recommend anything for a future update, I would personally love some unusually shaped tables complete with some ambient neon lighting for a futuristic effect, it would look absolutely glorious in VR.
