Excellent cozy game.
Nice and relaxing, can be beaten in a day but worth the journey.

Wow! What a Hole!

As development on the game has progressed, it has been refreshing to see the demo updated and refreshed.
A claw game roguelike deckbuilder with a really unique art style.
Basically what it says on the tin.

I played a lot of collectathons back in the day on my N64 and PS1. While I liked much of that era's gameplay, I would always get stuck and frustrated and give up.

I went into the demo skeptical but intrigued.

Within minutes, an hour had passed and I discovered I had a huge grin on my face. The controls are frustrating at first but quickly become second nature. Once I stopped fighting the crazy level design and began to use it to my advantage the game opened up.

There is so much to see and check out. Tons of nooks and crannies, lots of secrets waiting to be discovered.
The music is stellar, and gets stuck in your head very quickly, and with the inclusion of a track by Mega Ran made for the game, it just brings the game to a whole new level.

It isn't terribly difficult but there are some real challenges, I never felt "Stuck" but I did have to quit a few times to relax after specific collectibles were stressing me out. It worked out because I could just go to another level and work on those instead. I doubt I will 100% the game but trying sure will be fun.

This game could have a lot of potential if it became more popular and the devs had a serious budget to work with.

Everything about it feels "cheap" and not in the "Full Moon Budget Film" cheap cheesiness, but corners cut at every chance in the game. The animations don't have any weight to them, so everything feels floaty. There's no real sense of danger or tension, as would be expected in the genre. Instead it feels like confusing hide and go seek. Maps feel very disjointed and do not follow much logic. Even simple maps that make some sense like the hotel corridors were easy to get lost within due to the same-ness of the textures used.

Puppet master's font and Ux choices don't help with the cheap feeling either.

The experience feels like something out of the mid 2000s.

On the bright side there is a great choice of playable characters and the game is free to play, so I really hope it picks up after a few updates.
I am thrilled that I can pick Demonic Toys as well as the puppets and they aren't locked behind a paywall. Now we can hope for Dollman, Gingerdead Man, Evil Bong, Seedpeople and other Full Moon Classics!

I spent most of my 23 minute playtime just trying to find people to play, and once I did (played as a puppet)I was bored of the gameplay loop within minutes. I always felt too fast or too slow, when crouching you feel like you are moving through sand.
Opening doors is slow and finicky, Somehow I can jump around while opening doors and it doesn't affect the opening animation or progress.

Suffice to say I am very disappointed as this could be a great game for friends to play a la Dead By Daylight or Friday The 13th The Game.

I'll try it again eventually, or if some friends decide to jump on it. Until then I'll keep up with the updates and news hoping that many systems get reworked.

46 hours into the game, and I still don't really know what I am doing. Simply wonderful. It makes happy sounds and colors and makes you want to play just one more game.

You know those low-effort ads with barely animated flash-looking graphics? Yeah that's the style this game has. It's an idle game with multiple battle passes, multiple currencies and no personality whatsoever.

I don't know what I expected.

10/10 Would Spread Democracy again.

Intense doesn't begin to describe this game. When servers work, this game is aces.

Liberating worlds one bullet at a time.

This game scratches an itch I had no idea existed. I started with power washing simulator as my gateway drug and now I need to clean and restore houses. Flipping not so much , but handyman work, cleaning and upgrading? Oh yeah. That's the spot. Even better on the go on my steam deck. Amazing.

Die In The Dungeon scratches that deckbuilder roguelite itch, even in prologue form! I really hope this game sees ongoing development and more content as time goes on after release, because I could see this quickly becoming my next Vampire Survivors-type addiction.
