For what it's worth, as a foundation this is a phenomenal step forward. However disapointing in terms of content at launch, Half-empty, buggy UI, and more glitches and game-breaking scenarios than you can shake a stick at.
But knowing FDev and their business practices, all the content people will be swearing by will be in the DLC in 3 years, anyway, so wait until we've got everything, hopefully that'll actually fix what little at launch we have.
Adding onto this the ungodly amount of DLC that this has had at launch, when the game is in such a state is alarming to say the least. This game has had more DLC than updates.
Do not buy until the game is actually fixed, and we have got what we were actually promised.

"Obviously if this requirement is dropped I will re-write the review. Let's see if they do the right thing."

Well, that worked. Maybe it'll work more often in the future.

However i'm not done yet, there's still a fight to be had. Since my review, Sony have blocked the sale of this game in multiple territories. They may have said that they understand, but they still haven't action-ed anything on that understanding.

I will be reversing this review (and reinstalling and playing the game) when the following happens:

1. Inclusion of the 177 countries which were delisted. It must be in the form of a new package here:
https://steamdb.info/app/553850/subs/
and a new changlog here:
https://steamdb.info/sub/137730/history/.
As long as you do not see this, it means that Steam and Playstation/Arrowhead have not reached an agreement.

2. PSN is NOT listed as a requirement on the HD2 store page

Ultimately an enjoyable puzzle game, but seems to end abruptly and ends on a dissapointing note. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with the caveat of if your going to purchase this for it's story you should really look elsewhere.

Questions and a distict lack of answers. That's all this game gives. And you know what? The answer is obvious.

Early Access Review
50.2GB of pain and suffering. I honestly have no clue why this is so large. That aside, honest opinions below.
-----------------
This game reminds me of why the industry that I adore will inevitably fall into yet another crash. It copies literally every hugely popular gaming trope in the last 5 years and shoves them into a game that honestly could be more infuriating than Dark Souls.

At least the Souls series has a learning curve. This does not.

Yes, you can fiddle with every possible option increasing resourses, damage etc. But when a lvl 18 Giant Scorpion/Alligator spawns within 5 feet of your first spawn point, EVERY time you respawn for the next hour, regardless of the insanely lowered "difficulty" slider and position of said spawn point, you tend to feel cheated.

The crafting system, feels like every other "3D indie survival" crafting system: Token, run-of-the-mill, laborious, making progression feel like you're just running around doing busy work for the majority of your levelling. Adding to this game's already labyrinthine progression system, the process of taming creatures, is actually impossible if you don't increase the tame rate. (Via the in game option sliders)

"Liked picking berries for near to an hour? You'll love slowly shoving them into an unconscious dodo every 2 minutes, which you have to continuously knock out every 10 minutes." Yeah, that's called gameplay.

Anything fun about this game is hidden behind a myriad of busy work and infuriating moments beyond your control. And when you finally reach that fun it is immediately replaced by something that is unscripted, unannounced and completely unfair: wandering behemoths that will one-shot you and ruin your day.

When you get to the elevator, be careful. There's a glitch where it tends to wait a darn long time before you go down. I'd expect this kind of glitch in a "My First Videogame" not in a well polished indie masterpiece of a stealth game.

Easily one of the most accessible 3D animation tools out there. Cutoms rigs are easy to import, and enitre effect libraries are avaliable for any of your needs, my only critisism is that the sounds tend to be glitchy, and you need preferably a computer with over 4GB of RAM to even consider excessive use. But a briliant animation tool all aorund!

This disturbingly brilliant rogue-like dungeon shoot-em-up, is one of those true gems in the gaming industry, with brilliantly balanced mosters to fight, (some) gruesomely difficult bosses to defeat, and a storyline that acts as though it owns the place! (just dont think too hard when playing this game and you might survive the night)
