Great game, love the online multiplayer aspects, Probably one of the best single player campaigns of the the decade. A bit of a shame that you have to buy Ground Zero separately and unfortunate that the game was essentially cut short and released unfinished by the publisher, but in my opinion, there is enough to to make up for it if you can buy cheap.

One of the few games that I keep coming back to.

I have probably over 3000hours in this game including Glyph and have done almost everything there is to do in this game so i belive this reveiw should be quite accurate.

In my opinion, this game is not as Pay to Win as alot of game i've played. You get the ocassional player that throws thousands at trion and have the best gear as a result but alot of effort has gone into making the game less pay to win recently and easier for free to play players like myself.

Alot of people look at this game and see the patron system and think that to get patron and all the benfits that come with it, you have to pay money into the game. This is not the case although lots of people reccomend you spend real money on your first month of patron, afterwards, it is extremely easy to keep your patron status. If you dont want to spend money, you can get it just as easily, it just takes a bit more grinding and a bit more time. there are lots of guides on youtube for new players on how to get patron.

Getting gear as a free to play can be very grindy aswell but if you find a good guild you can get it very easily by doing pve dungeons and helping eachother to craft things. finding a nice guild without toxic players make this game alot my fun than if you just play solo.

My biggest complaint with this game is mostly Pvp and Contestable world bosses because the game isnt designed well when it comes to these. Contestable world bosses are very profitable if you can do them but very limited amount of people can do them and even less people can contest them because the game encourages the best players to team up with eachother in player nations. these player nations can cherry pick the best players from the server and basically become invincible as the player nation gets stronger but the other nations get weaker. because of this the playernations often denys everyone else content while they get hundreds of gold every day.

Another problem cause by playernations is spys, the playernation can easily create spy accounts to make it easier for them to deny the rest of the server, however becaus ethe player nation can cherry pick players, it is impossible for the other nations to get a spy into the player nation. This can make it particualy toxic for new players as they might be accuesed of being a spy.

I believe archeage is a great game and would reccomend other people play it but it should be taken with a pinch of salt. I can only hope that XLgames can fix playernations before they eventually kill the game because archeage is a unique and wonderful game in all other aspects.

Brilliant game. i would describe it as being SimCity done properly. My only issue with it is that it is very CPU intensive late game when you have lots of stuff going at once, but if your PC is pretty good i strongly recomend buying it.

I liked the different game modes although wish there was more variety.
the starter quests where nice but i think there should be more of them.
the combat needs some work because sometimes it difficult to target an enemy.

The single player is Very fun but the multiplayer definatly needs work on for a start, when i first played multiplayer i was machted up with someone who had played it for over 4 months and i was defeated before i even maxed out my mine!
