Very pretty pixel art game made with a lot of love, really nice to chill out and cook orders without time pressures of other cooking simulator games. Huge amount of content and unlocks/progression but it does get repetitive and grindy quite quickly on solo play. If it had additional story/regulars etc like other games in the genre (Coffee Talk, Va-11 Hall-A) it would really polish the experience. Overall a nice and fun little game to pass some time.

If you like British humour, Monty Python, Renaissance Art and collecting rancid piss in a jug in the name of puzzle solving. This is for you.

Where do I begin... A fabulous love letter to the point and click genre and filled with witty dialogue, bonkers British humour and a unique take on two worlds tropisms. Lucy is both lovable and worryingly cynical for her age, and her biting remarks about her peers bring many laughs.
The UI is a pleasure to use and everything has been crafted to work as smoothly as possible, including the puzzles. Tom's done a magnificent job and you should go try his other creations: Hair of the Dog and Lockdown.

10/10
But -100 for the mention of magnificent tripods.

Beautiful game that's equal parts peaceful and exciting. Easy to lose hours to and a wonderful hybrid of games likes Terraria, Minecraft, Stardew Valley and old school pixel RPGs.

Unavowed is a stunning, well written and graphically beautiful game with tons of replayability.
Having played almost all entries in WadjetEyes portfolio, Unavowed is their latest and current pinnacle of everything they have learnt from it's predecessors and it shines as an exemplary contemporary point and click adventure with a few light RPG elements.

The strong story-telling comes from experience and a genuinely interesting subject of folklore and mythical entities wreaking havoc in a modern setting.
It's a tale full of twists and turns, and you will want to binge it and never put it down, all of this is further supported by incredible art, atmospherics, music and VO work which we have come to expect of WadjetEye and they tirelessly always deliver.

We had an enjoyable playthrough of this on stream, we struggled with a couple of puzzles but only because we missed some information hidden in plain sight or got the wrong idea. There was an interesting storyline that successfully builds tension without any real danger and we must admit the horror element was very low. Some beautifully rendered settings and clever ideas in the puzzles make this a worthwhile entry for a short but effective escape the room game. We felt the ending could have been a little more elaborate and shocking as it ends quite abruptly and with little explanation as to what you've actually seen. Could be designed this way though to provoke discussion.

The illustration and graphics of this game are beautiful and the soundtrack is stunning, there is definitely a story in here that will be exciting to uncover but unfortunately there were a few things that stopped us from enjoying this prologue version, which would stop us from purchasing in the future: firstly I and my community found there was a lot of dialogue, which we ended up getting bored through - especially being forced to speak with the stall owner for long stretches of dialogue and most of it seemed to be hard to understand. There was a lot of messy dialogue - sentences either unfinished or poorly translated? We couldn't decide whether the main characters incoherence was by design or poor writing. We guessed he was descending into madness but would have liked to have seen this a bit more subtle, both the main characters seemed over aggressive and unlikable, we didn't share any empathy with them which made it hard to care about their quest. We also felt the voice actors were a little over the top and the dialogue felt unnecessarily over-acted and that american voice actors for a game set in Europe felt very jarring and odd.

All that said, we want to know what was in the cabin, the cliff-hanger where the game ends does hint at a very interesting story, so we will be watching the development closely and hoping to see improvements, if they listen to their feedback, although perhaps we are missing something as we've seen a lot of positive feedback for it.

When I started playing this game I thought it was too frustrating.

Then I learnt stuff.

Then I became addicted.

Fantastic, beautiful and compassionate game that explores moral choices and superpowers.
One of those 'every decision I make will probably screw me over in the long run' games with a fantastic atmosphere and some really key little details that help you to completely immerse into Max's life.
Simple interface and usability, some tricky puzzles that require you to think outside of time to make the most of the things you notice, and some fantastic characters. Episode 1 has already set a very high bar for the rest to come. Truly looking forward to episode 2.

I don't know why I continue to buy Daedalic adventure games, the writing is appalling.
I'll keep this brief:
Pros
Beautiful settings and background painting
Some lovely soundtracks
Extra mi♥♥♥ame elements for those who like that (I personally don't)
Puzzles are generally simple
Overall story is interesting

Cons
Really poorly written, I still don't understand half of the conversations from the game
The end sort of makes sense but its really not cleared up very well
Poor voice acting at times, sounds awkward
Buggy click device - sometimes the adverbs are in spanish or russian, sometimes the pointer simply doesnt show up
So much unnecessary pixel hunting that halts progress
Frustrating characters, Salvador and Fay's relationship isn't explained, he's just instantly a jerk to her.
Characters are unbelievable due to poor writing and acting
Puzzles are a little too easy.

Nice concept, poor delivery.
Just generally tedious, don't waste your money.
