Haven't finished it yet, but the soundtrack is fantastic (on par with To the Moon), the writing is still excellent, the animation updates are cute and add a new level of richness to the game. Well worth the money and well worth the wait.

Early Access Review
This game is better than smash bros from a competitive standpoint. It's quite similar, but it's better;

1. It's $15 as opposed to the hundreds of dollars for a Wii U and Smash Bros (you still have to spend money on a gamecube adapter and controller if you use those, but you can use any USB controller or keyboard if you prefer.

2. Made by a company that wanted to make a more competitive version of smash. They succeeded by making a platform fighter that has an incredibly balanced (albeit small) roster, no items, neutral stages, and advanced techniques reminiscent of Super Smash Brothers Melee to create a high skill ceiling.

3. The simple graphics allow almost any computer to run this game at 60 fps with no problems whatsoever.

4. The online matches don't feel as laggy as the online mode in Smash Bros for Wii U.

5. The characters aren't limited to pre-existing games/universes like they are in Smash Bros. The characters in RoA are original and actually feel like they were designed to beat each other to a pulp, unlike some Smash Bros characters *cough*wiifittrainer*cough*.

6. It has much better practice mode features, such showing hitboxes and knockback direction as well as being able to advance frame by frame.

7. There is no tripping, rage, or stale moves. This removal of variables makes combos go off much more consistently and intuitively.

This game is just really, REALLY good. If you like Smash or any fighting games, it is DEFINITELY worth the $15.

Path of PoE of Exile is the best game on Earth. And possibly Mars.
