A well presented combat focused 4X that has a very unique grim-dark setting. The UI is clean and snappy and it feels engaging at all times.

Growing up, I was a big Sonic fan and obsessed over the Advance games and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube. When Sonic Generations released in 2011, it really recaptured what I loved about 3D sonic games. Fast-forwarding to Sonic X Shadow Generations, it is still an amazing game. However, the star of the show here is Shadow Generations, which in my opinion, is the best a 3D Sonic (sorry, Shadow) game has been in a long time. When playing as Shadow I feel fully in control of my movements, and reaching high speeds while gliding through a stage cleanly feels immensely rewarding. The stages look beautiful, the music is both nostalgic and fresh, and Shadow is treated like his own character instead of just a counterpart to Sonic.

I am insanely impressed by Shadow Generations, and it alone is worth your time. Adding a remaster of Sonic Generations is just a very nice bonus.

Selaco is the most insane game I have ever seen run in the GZDoom engine. But saying it's a GZDoom game doesn't do it justice. It has hints of F.E.A.R. and Half-Life, yet still manages to have its own identity. The gunplay is punchy and fluid, and the map design is really exciting to explore (some secrets can be tough). Do yourself a favor and try it, I guarantee it will surprise you.

Also, if you use the code 0451 anywhere in the game it will zap you, which got a laugh out of me.

Co Crunchy

As a savage FFXIV raid lead (who also enjoys SHMUPS), I really love this game. It is fun in both single-player and co-op, and is raiding content accessible by anyone without grinding in an MMO for thousands of hours. It also has the added benefit of being a wonderful teaching tool for raid mechanics and cooperative play in general, as you will need to communicate a lot with your fellow raiders.

My friends and I lovingly refer to nights where we play together as "Bun Runs."

My vision is augmented.

Unwell game made for unwell people (like me).

Brings out the inner comedian in all of us.
