This game gives you something to do mindlessly while you watch to videos\podcasts\streams, very poggies

literally the best game in my whole steam library, can't believe I over looked it and didn't try it earlier, I can't stop now.

Live service greedy trash game.
Season pass 2 for half the game price for a skill tree and lame game mode lmao.
I want a refund for my money and my hours from life spent on this.

This review will not address the server issues at all because I don't see a point in playing online in this game to begin with. I play this game strictly offline.

Everything this game does is very mid, upgrades don't feel impactful, endgame feels pointless, i'm not excited about any "chase" items, builds feel pretty samey from the moment you unlock your skill till the endgame, game is always easy so whats the point in upgrades?
Whats the point in infinitely pushing arena or corrupted monoliths number higher and higher?
Game is just very boring and the progression is pointless.

I was very hopeful for the 1.0 release, but the game didn't improve much at all from the beta days and i've been playing this on and off since 2020. The game didn't improve much at all, It's like i'm playing that same beta from 2020... very disappointed.

Play POE instead

More enjoyable then my marriage, I recommend.

Update review to 11 October.

I really wanted to like this game, I waited patiently for it to leave EA to give my full review.
and after playing the 1.0v on singleplayer mode and reaching maximum level and experiencing the endgame, I'm done with the game and seen everything it has to offer.

Difficulty: between normal and ridiculous there is almost no difference aside from mobs having WAY more hp and becoming sponges. and even on normal you can get 1 shot by certain traps or bosses or elite mobs.

Map design: in act 1 they start out ok, but when you reach act 3 the same map pieces are just copy and pasted all over the map to make it bigger and the map it self is just the same small lay out copypasted all over the place.

Loot: boring, the loot is repetitive and even the legendaries are VERY UNDERWHELMING.
and plus the drop chance is so low you probably wont see 1 legendary anyone throughout your playthru.

Skills: The skill tree is VERY SMALL and you don't have alot of variety to begin with and on top of that 90% of the skills are USELESS. some just suck, the skill ranks are just as bad.

Endgame maps: it's the same maps from the game with some stupid quest you must complete of killing x mobs or collecting y drops, and then a boss fight.
ITS NOT REWARDING AND THE DROPS SUCKS.

overall, this game is a MAJOR STEP DOWN from Torchlight 2.
and a major step down from any modern ARPG to be honest.
I would even rank wolcen way higher then this game.

it has no complexity, no sense of progress, no build diversity, no rewarding fun loot, ITS JUST LAZY AND POOR MADE, THIS GAME IS LIKE A FAN MADE DUMBED DOWN VERSION OF WHAT KINDA REMINDS TORCHLIGHT.

I regret buying this and waiting so long and supporting them.

AVOID THIS CASHGRAB EXCUSE OF A GAME.
