Maybe I was a little bit stupid, but the fact that I did not manage to piece together the two timelines made that very last "I want to go home" sentence even more potent. Hit me like a truck. Started sobbing uncontrollably.

How good a game is related to how emotionally affected I am and I am emotionally wrecked.
If you understand Mandarin, do yourself a favour and play the game.

This game makes every single IRL problems I have seem small and insignificant.

I can't even put what I feel into words. I've played the original back then (it was a free game) and was mind blown. I forgot most it it, so I decided to play it a second time and my mind is still blown. There is so much I want to say about the game, but my vocabulary is too limited for what goes on in my head. All I will say is, play it (but please also heed the content warning and decide for yourself).

The inner drummer in me is very happy. Not to mention the devs are very VERY involved with the community in their Discord!

I bought this game to play something relaxing with my girlfriend since we play FPS a lot and lately I'm starting to feel burnt out from it. Suddenly I've sank almost 45 hours in 5 days and I can't find the line between what is real life and what is farm life. 10/10 would recommend if you like farming sims. I tried Stardew Valley but didn't get hooked on it even though there were a lot of great reviews. Mostly down to preference and I definitely do prefer this.

I went in thinking it was just a puzzle game, little did I know that I was about to learn a very profound lesson. Definitely one of the best games I've had the honour of playing this year!

It was fun for the first few chapters and then the missions get repetitive, the last few missions literally serve no purpose except to prolong the game, and the humour is bordering on cringe. Finished it, uninstalled it, don't really care to revisit it for the other side quests anymore.

I wrote this after I finished the game and was super annoyed (due to external reasons) so I'm gonna amend this. I stand by the fact that the last few missions being repetitive though. In general, the game has its own set of humour that can be cringy to some, but refreshing to others because it doesn't take itself too seriously and breaks the 4th wall often. Think Deadpool. To me, it was half of each. Some parts were overbearing to me. Like the ending. It felt like since they didn't know how to finish the story, they just threw this HUGE THING and asks you to COMPLETE IT and ta-da you saved the world. But more deliberately.

I'm also annoyed that reviews are reductionistic with the thumbs up and down so I'll just say that this is a 6.5/10 experience (given the mental conditions that I was playing in), gameplay-wise 8/10.

I stumbled upon this gem while scrolling through my Discovery Queue. I've always been a sucker for narrative games but never liked the 8-bit, Undertale/Pokemon style of graphics until this one. Not too sure what made me buy it, but I did. Boy, did I enjoy it. It made me wonder a bit about my decisions. I've come to realize that I really like Devolver Digital stuff after playing this, GRIS, and The Red Strings Club.
