Valve has already implemented there new security measures to avoid impersonating admins. In this scenario, our steam account has been set to trade banned to avoid being misinterpreted and accused by traders that we are stealing items from the community. In order to check items for verification, we will give traders a protocol link where they can send there items for checking.




I get impersonators, and if someone is trying to get me to middleman they are probably a scammer. I almost never trade as well, so if someone is trying to sell you high value items as me they are most likely not me. Please check my identity yourself instead of relying on a link someone sends you. I will not link you to my Steamrep profile directly, but instead I will make you check it yourself.

I am an admin on Steamrep. If you are trying to contact me about Steamrep it is best to send me a PM on the Steamrep forums. Please do not add me regarding Steamrep unless I have commented on your report first. I do not handle appeals so I cannot help anyone in that regard. I will not look at your report if you add me to do so, so please do not ask, I am quite busy and do not have the time to handle every report someone throws at me.


If you add me while I am offline, I will usually not accept an invite until I see that you are also online. This is to avoid having too many people on my friends list. If adding me for Steamrep related business, I ask that you please send me a PM on the Steamrep forums instead of adding me on Steam.


I do not "+rep" people's profiles when we do a trade because there was no trust involved in item:item trading, thus no way I could "vouch" for you. I take vouches very seriously, and will not give them out like candy. I also don't join random groups, so please don't invite me to them.


I usually unadd people after a trade is completed,; in the words of Mario Puzo “it's just business nothing personal...”.

I try to always check people's Steamrep profile when they add me. If you are a scammer, I will not trade with you; I will probably not accept your friend request if you are a scammer. I also unadd people who have a large number of scammers on their friends list as I dislike people who associate themselves with scammers.
