Not challenging puzzles but mechanically and visually very beautiful.

Very relaxing, time just disappears.

Terminator: Resistance :: is one of those games that absolutely has to make the GAMES YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE list on the GYAMH Steam Group.

This game is an EXPERIENCE that will definitely satisfy the expectations of loyal fans of the genre. The world is so immersive that you can feel and taste the apocalypse. You truly feel as if you are the protagonist in the resistance in this war-torn world. Your first solid experience with the T-800 terminators is genuinely scary, followed by giddy appreciation for how well the developers got the feel, look and pure malice of the terminators. The variety of terminators is also an unexpected, pleasing, and heart-palpitating surprise all the way through.

The sound in this game is also very well done and complements the look and feel of the world perfectly. The graphics are good, and the smoking ruins and dark, moody atmosphere are spot on – you feel the flipping temperature on your RL skin even!

There is a good mixture of RPG aspects; including stealth, hacking, a little exploration, choices, main and side missions, shooting, bosses with strats / mechanics and a gripping story. There are different and evolving mechanics around each main encounter, that are not always obvious at first, but in a good way. You will have to think a little and strategize approaches and solutions.

The choice of weapons and modular upgrading is incentivising and doesn’t ever feel grindy at all. Skill assignment also requires a bit of thought as it staggers the abilities of your character, which is not a new concept nor is it too frustrating or impeding.

There is some surprisingly adult content Oo in this story – ummm you will know when you get there ( . Y . )

Terminators are just freaking cool man!! And this game does the franchise justice and then some.
One of my best games of all time; it really should be more popular. If you don’t 100% love this game after a full play through, DM me and I will fight you.

Seeing as the police got called to our house last night by the neighbours, to investigate the screaming….I thought I better come write a review (I am 100% serious – they arrived mid game last night).

100% would recommend. Great exhilarating and anxiety inducing experience, great price – best fun with friends.
So far this game is AWESOME – even though they are really not happy screams; I really am having a lot of fun!
The concept is so simple and so effective; it is TOO easy to be immersed. The fear is unexpectedly real.
THE SOUND…in your ears, the subtle or violent movement of objects around you and the PANIC of having something lock you in the house, in the dark, and chase you…screaming is an involuntary reflex at that point.

I would try aim to avoid the following in your screams:
“HELP ME!”
“I DON’T WANT TO PLAY!”
“LET ME OUT!”
…the police and neighbours frown on that.

65 hours and it still elicits reflexive screams of terror. Going to play with something in my mouth moving forward now.

...100% GET IT!

As a pre-purchaser of The Secret World; I can still say that Secret World Legends is one of the best story, alternative reality MMO’s I have ever played. – you just need to get past the CRASH boss (see *below) but it is 100% worth the effort!

I will remember this game experience and universe forever! over 9000/10

The characters you interact with while questing are unique, memorable and superbly enjoyable. The dungeons and group content is challenging and exciting and fits seamlessly into the universe and stories.

The world and lore’s are very well designed and researched, and the harder investigations are a puzzlers absolute delight. Fear not, if you are not into the tougher puzzle quests then there are tiered hints available on secretworld.fandom.com, or you can skip them entirely and just concentrate on the action quests.

The questing is challenging and never tedious and the characters and stories along the way are very well done. The universe created by Alice and Smith (masters of alternative reality) draws you in and is so cleverly created and well managed that it has spawned the likes of off shoot games like The Park and Moons of Madness; The inclusion of The Black Watchmen was likewise an exciting connection. This game was truly an experience.

This game is most definitely not pay to win, though buying a patronage month from time to time does have its speed levelling advantages – it is in no way essential to the enjoyment of the game.

*To stop the weird crashes in Secret World Legends - directX11:
1) Right click the game in your Steam Library.
2) Go to Properties then the Local Files tab.
3) Click Browse Local Files.
4) Locate the game executable (*3 listed below).
5) Right click it and go to Properties.
6) Click the Compatibility tab.
7) Check the Run this program as an administrator box.
8) Click Apply.

AND
- Set Options (Client Patcher Window) to: Windowed Borderless & Tick Full Client
- Do a clean install of your latest graphics drivers (uninstall and install again clean rather than update)
- Change AwesomiumProcess.exe in your game files to compatability mode for windows 7
- Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019
