Nifty little gem of a game...
Had it untouched in my inventory for ages, don't even remember when I got it...
Don't make the same mistake, it's a great experience!

Can't reccomend it yet, lest you're a hardcore fan...
Missing things that were vanilla in the previous versions and still a crashfest.
Luckily there is mods atleast!

Maybe with a little more time I'l be able to change my review, who knows...

I grew up with the SimCities series, even had a version on PSX... But after what happened with the disaster of the last version, it seems that the torch of "Epic City Sim" was passed on to Cities Skylines... It has everything the original Sim Cities as well as the Cities XL series lacked, and more...

With devs that still support the game and its community, with modders having uploaded over 200.000 assets and mods on the workshop, you can sculpt your city the way you want. With a thriving community of diverse Youtubers pushing out content for their loyal following, there is no mod too hard to install or learn to use.

If there ever was a worthy successor of SimCity4, it can only be Cities Skylines!!

If you're like me, and enjoy playing older gems, that sadly have no controller support, this is for you!
Even games that have controller support, but awful implementation can be played fluidly with this gem of a program.

Need a template? Browse the workshop first, one click install if you find one a fellow gamer shared.
Made a great template for a game? share it to help your fellow gamers!

After watching BulletBarry play this game on more than one occasion, it looked like fun and I wanted to try it out for myself. I Must say the impression Barry's vids gave me is quite correct, it is fun indeed and I like the game.
This will become one of my go-to games when I just want to have fun and chill, Maybe I'll even get some copies for my friends in the future so we can get our own little funfight going on...

Even the devs surprised me, kudos are due for the swift respond I got on my question I posted in the discussions. Lots of devs leave their customers simmer in the discussions limbo, but not here, I got a response within the first 24 hours of posting it.

This is one of the few games that has surprised me in the last years and it certainly deserves a try, I bet you'll love it, if only for the great setting that it provides... It'll bring you back to when you were a little boy and make the fantasies you had playing with your toy soldiers come true!

Do Not Buy!

Tried to get it running to no avail...
asked for a refund as not to get over my 2h "playtime", as the process of the game sits idling in your task manager, without any onscreen activity... Raking 0.9h (56min) up with 5 to 6 seconds of the process running shows you how many times I changed something and tried to start it to see if it worked...
If you don't know to check Task Manager when troubleshooting games, you'd look over it and rake up more than your 2h "playtime" in no time, and this without ever seeing one bit of actual gameplay, loosing your refund option while troubleshooting it!

It even got my Steam Bootstrapper to crash, pointing to a "possible" conflict of UPlay with Steam...
Should UBI we willing to scrap the use of UPlay when buying on Steam, maybe I'd buy the Ultimate Edition again and give it a try once more...

If you want a game that delivers more than it first promised, a game made with love and attention for details, a game made by devs who listen to their fanbase and do their best to give it what they ask for, then this is a game for you...

Wether you like micromanagement, macromanagement, creating buildings or coasters or just plopping buildings and coasters untill you have the most beautiful park, this game has it, and some more...

I remember when RCT World was announced I was thrilled being a fan of the old games... Boy was I glad I never touched the "buy" button when Atari released their beta... I got the chance to play some alpha 2 stage of Planet Coaster and was blown away... This was an alpha? It was better than most released sims in my inventory! I kept my hand on my wallet untill the thrillseeker edition released on Steam, and then jumped that b*tch (the buy button) like a crazed raccoon...

This is a purchase you won't regret, a classic in the RCT genre was born when this game was released...

Edit 22/11/2018:
On account of the DLC's: Most have their specific itch to help releaving, and of you get them on sale, they're more than worth their price!
On account of the Workshop: You'll find the usual crap, buth luckily the workshop is filled to the brim with creations from real masters, you know, the type of stuff you download and later ask yourself how you ever could play without it...
On the 20th, the Thememakers Toolkit got released... 3D models will be coming to the workshop!
