Despite the flaws and occasional bit of Sony laden stupidity, the game is overall solid and a good time

For those who were not aware, this game is in the same universe as Alan Wake, and if you findi t, there are mentions of the events from that game in various files and such.

Rather addicting and fun when you have the basics figured out

Ilearned about this game mostly from the ticker that appears when I start Steam on occasion, and asked some friends about it. Admittedly I was curious, and the video helped sell it nicely.

Playing the game was a nice change of pace for me as it involved utilizing means and methods that are not common or familiar to myself (an thats speaking from actively attempting to use a Linux product in the past, and failing miserably). The tutorial was more than sufficient to help me get a feel and basic understanding and I even found myself at times utilizing newer functions without having to look them up.

The gameplay was rather enjoyable and well-paced, even at points in the later half of the game here I needed to work a bit faster when timelimits started appearing. The last aspectss of the game lore and story was rather impressive and I am looking forward to a second playthrough in the future.

A rather tense game where you need to balance anxiety levels, 'resource' management (cameras etc.), and the ever-present feeling that everything is wrong.
