I would say not right now, in a year maybe. If you liked the original cities skylines a lot then you will hate how the game constricts all of the many features of the original cities skylines. (reminder this is the first year of this game, it will probably be better in a year or two). The one issue I see is performance, everything else is pretty good in comparison to the base cities skylines I. All I would say is wait a bit if you like the original cities skylines customization but other than that I would give it a try (if your computer can handle it).

They added mods but it takes a long time to load (especially if you have a lot of mods). Unlike cities skylines, cities skylines II has their mods in game via "Paradox Mods" meaning when you start up the game, the game starts up then the mods are loaded. This personally wasn't the best way to roll out mods. It took them a while as well to get assets like in cities skylines.

Typical first release paradox game. Not worth it yet, prob might be in a year or two or three.

If you take time and effort into trying to play the game then it can be really enjoyable and fun.

The game here does not match the pictures at all. I know that it is an early access game but I suggest not buying it. It is a waste of money.
