It's certainly challenging capturing such a detailed environment for VR. The quality of the Photogrammetry here looks really good for only having a window of a few hours to do it in and a limited budget for art time and fixes in post production.

I've never been inside NZ Parliament on a tour, so getting an inside view in 3D of the debating chamber was pretty neat. The quality of the interior looks best when viewed from the upper floor - I suspect a large part of the scanning was done from there to best capture the details of the roof and the room as a whole, although it does reveal a few blind spots behind some of the furniture.

The hotspots and media over key points of interest were informative, although it'd be good to see the dimensions of the planes used to display the hotspot icons increased a bit to avoid them cropping when they animate. My Oculus Rift CV1's display resolution is a little too small to effectively see the video playback in it's best quality; I'm sure it'll look better with an Oculus Rift S or Vive Pro.

I'd also love to see some of the materials tweaked as other reviewers have noted; the experience could benefit from lowering the specularity of the carpet and making the metals a little less reflective.

Overall this is a great and informative experience, I'd love to see other parts of Wellington's Beehive covered in the future!

Very cool incarnation of the machine building genre. Being able to physically move parts around and assembling stuff in 3D space is something you have to experience for yourself to believe. I highly recommend this as one of the first VR experiences that you use to introduce people to the room-scale VR experience.
