This game is absolutely amazing. From the story telling to being extremely inclusive, the game along with it's Developers truly are ahead of the game in terms of MMORPG production.

You get quality AND quantity when it comes to content. Endless customization options to choose from, hundreds (thousands even) of stories to play through, so many zones and dungeons to explore, fun classes to master, an amazing and helpful community- now that one is a big one for me. I come from MMOs such as World of Warcraft, a game that is known for having an awful, toxic and vile community. ESO however is nothing like that. I've only ever experienced kindness and acceptance from those who play. People willing to help when you need it, congratulate you on your achievements. It's honestly very wholesome. This game is always a joy to play and it deserves more praise in my opinion.

Also what happens in Riften stays in Riften.

So I've been playing this game since 2016 on multiple platforms. So basically from the beginning- and while I can say it has drastically improved, there are still many issues that remain.

I think the best way to break things up is by separating the game into 5 categories. Killer, Survivor, Perks, Maps, Enjoyment.

Killer: Killer is in the best spot it's ever been. The game is a 1v4 and you are definitely the power role. While a coordinated group of survivors can overcome the odds, you still have the ability to absolutely destroy them. Some killers are admittedly more broken than others but that doesn't take away from the ones on the roster that are enjoyable to play as and play against. Overall a fun role so long as you enjoy playing solo.

Survivor: If you enjoy teamwork like I do, this side is definitely for you. Though it's weaker than the killer role, you can pull off some incredible plays that can result in a win for you and your team. The diversity in the roster also helps in finding a survivor that resonates with you. My personal favorites are Dwight Fairfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Renato Lyra (my new main).

Perks: Now we start to get into the more rougher part of the review. Perks. Perks help each side in tremendous ways. Some perks are extremely more busted and broken than others and some have been historically nerfed way too harshly all to change up the meta. And as new chapters come out and less new ideas remain, perks now feel...uninspired. I think the Developers truly need to understand what makes the game healthy and base perks / perk nerfs and buffs off of that. Not meta changing.

Maps: As a veteran player, I miss the old arguably more creepy aesthetic of the maps before the reworks. While I do love the update in art and visuals, I still hold those old designs close to my heart- maps that inspired horror, a theme I feel the game has somewhat lost. Also with the visual updates, the maps have become...dare I say it...killer sided. Loops being removed or shortened, less pallets, less windows, more unsafe and open areas. It's...kind of annoying to be honest. It's frustrating, especially when killers already have perks to help block off loop potential and a mechanic called bloodlust to help catch up.

Enjoyment: The last of my points. Overall- yes- the game is very enjoyable. While some players use broken mechanics to taunt and even exercise toxicity into the game, you will meet some cool players and go against those who play fairly and don't wish to ruin other's enjoyment. For those that do, again, I feel the Developers need to evaluate that and fix it. Camping, tunneling, etc. Stuff like that just ruins the game for a LOT of people and it's all too easy to do. Killer is better then it's ever been, mechanics like that don't still need to be in the game. Other than that though, the fun times definitely out number the bad.

If you're looking for a fun team based game on survival or a game where you are the hunter, or even a game just to play with the squad, Dead by Daylight is a great choice.
