Fantastic Star Wars game but it doesn't scratch my soulslike itch.

I really enjoyed my time in this game and the only gripes i really have are the metroidvania aspects included in the game and the boss fights.

You don't start with all of your force abilities, you unlock them throughout the game, getting them all in about the last third of the game. Considering using them is a lot of the fun to be had, it is disappointing to only be able to use them all and be a proper Jedi so late. You also have to backtrack a lot to previously explored planets and areas to unlock secrets with your newly found abilities, mostly are cosmetics but you can also miss some important force, health and stim upgrades if you don't fully explore everything.

I also found the bosses way too easy and somewhat forgettable while playing on Jedi Master, the only two i really enjoyed were Malicos and Trilla. Of course i could just up the difficulty to Jedi Grandmaster but i felt the difficulty of the regular enemies was good, only the bosses were lackluster.

With that said, the game is gorgeous and a joy to play and explore, i highly recommend it to anyone interested in the Star Wars franchise and even to those who aren't, it seriously is a lot of fun. However, if you're merely looking for a souls experience, there are better options.
