Honestly my favorite of all of the Final Fantasy games. It's a little rushed towards the end, but it's incredibly fun, in-depth, classic swords and sorcery fantasy game.

I love this game, except when I'm playing it. When I'm playing, I inevitably become a foul-mouthed rage monster as the enemies ramp up the difficulty slightly faster than I ramp up my capabilities. Excellent sci-fi Roguelite. If you don't mind hating the game you're ostensibly playing for fun, this is perfect for you.

The story is fairly simple, but solid. The writing is good. The concept is interesting. The breadth of involved mythos is fantastic, especially for the brevity of the game.

At the end, there's a timed section. While I like the sudden tension and urgency, and I'm aware of the setting in the options to give you more of a chance to catch your breath, I can easily imagine people (especially people playing with a trackpad) being frustrated by it.

It's Civ 5, you've already played it, but I'll get a shiny badge for doing the review. It's still fantastic, I still play it too often and for too long because it's addictive as hell. I'm waiting for the first Civ 6 major patch before I pull the trigger on that one, but then I suspect it will take over my free time instead.

Stealth/Puzzle is a woefully under-utilized genre, and Gunpoint does it well for the price.
