Managed democracy prevails again. Good work, Helldivers. There was never any doubt.

Don't skip Ready or Not. This is the SWAT 4 successor I always wanted.

I waited for 1.0 because I've been burned by Early Access games in the past. It doesn't disappoint. Haven't run into any major bugs so far, and there have been some situations with superhuman reaction time from the AI, but having a blast nonetheless.

Bring friends because it is exponentially more fun with buddies

and the matches are quick

This game is hilariously fun whether you're playing with friends, or jumping into matchmaking alone.
I still have my nitpicks about the changes to combat and physics, but it's always a blast

Note: Highly recommend playing with a gamepad. Not sure how KB + Mouse feels

After reading Marc Laidlaw's synopsis[pastebin.com] on what would have been Episode 3, I played through the games again.

It's bittersweet.

We'll never see the game realized, but this was probably the best alternative.
