One of the best ways to play the original HL,hell, It's my fave HL game, It has a lot of content for a 4 bucks expansion,or 80 cents on sales

For a game as old as this it’s more alive than most new games,tho I will admit Valve sure make it look dead

The original HL is a classic worthy of that title,but the engine hasn’t aged good and If you want to experience the very original without all of GoldSource’s problems,this is your best bet. It’s the exact same as from ‘98 but with all the Improvements from the Source engine (Whilst Black Mesa does tell the same story,it’s more of a remake with entire sections changed)

Probably the fastest HL game as of yet (mainly because of the GoldSource engine),tho the looks haven’t aged too well and the particles (like fire and electricity) put too much pressure on the computer and engine,it’s also the best to play for sheer fun or just to speedrun (also DO NOT USE THE HD MODELS THEY ARE THE ACTUAL MANIFESTATION OF TRASH)

Other than the fact its more expensive then CS GO,its a straight upgrade.
-Has more classic maps
-Uses Source's physics engine instead of glued props
-Can be run on potatos
-The gunplay is a lot more fun
