After spending a great deal of time in this game, and a fair amount of money aswell, I can happily say without a doubt that this is the best MMO experience I have had to date. Being able to freely explore an open world without loading screens while enjoying the fluid movement offered throughout PVP scenarios and the rush during open world encounters and naval combat really just about tops it off for me.

The only down side however is that over time having played various servers from launch, you start to fall behind in terms of gear progression, purely because the way the system works with the playerbase spending real life money in order to purchase gold. To stay somewhat relevant, you have to either input loads of times on a daily basis, or spend a vast amount of money to gain a massive edge over the "free players"

Ofcourse the gold buying is something that will be found throughout all modern mmo's however with the way this game works, and how you obtain high end gear, it is far more noticeable than say WoW. Not to say at all though that this "ruins" the experience, only mildly dampens the competitive side that it somewhat pushes you to experience.

All in all, I would definitely recommend losing yourself in the game and exploring what it has to offer. Meet new people along the way and have a great time!
