TLDR: buy it. It can be frustrating, but is a lot of fun.

I’ll start off with the bad, and contrary to how much I’ve written, there really isn’t much. The game is EASILY an 8/10 right now. I do want to say first though; The building times truly are a non issue. If you don’t want to wait, just go to the crucible and auto complete it at the trader. I don’t think there’s a limit to how many times you can do it. Maybe 10 minutes to do this.

Traders: It takes way too long for inventories to refresh. Should be MAYBE 30 minutes, maximum. The fact that Finley shows up once a week (for what, like 4 hours?) is actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too. Especially since his goods really aren’t ever anything that crazy anyway.

Stamina and Load weight: Stamina in this game, especially early on, is NONEXISTENT. God forbid you only have a heavy weapon too. Load weight is also ridiculous, as literally everything makes you fat roll. It wouldn’t be so bad with some adjustments, but to make this even feel playable in the first few hours, your first 7 levels has to go exclusively to these 2 stats.

Focus: Super cool replacement for mana, but With having to focus stats so heavily elsewhere, there’s really not much to spare here. You have 100 base which is enough to do small or medium runic abilities, but there are a few that cost more. It leads me to just not using them very much. There’s a couple that I don’t think should even be runic abilities, or cost focus, like return. That should just be an innate ability, or focus should regenerate naturally as well. I wish rune attacks on weapons, or at least some of them, were on cooldown rather than costing focus.

Weapon move-sets: I HATE that some weapons don’t have charged attacks. You can charge the second or third attack in a chain sometimes, but that is a lot of time to lose just to try and hit with a heavy attack. It can be the sole reason I choose not to use something. I get that the devs want to make distinct and unique weapons and some have to have downsides, but that just makes it an easy decision on not using something.

Enemy’s speed: The worst part about some of the enemies is how much ground they cover compared to you. Some will dash or blink across the screen from you, and do it again just as you’re about to reach them. If you don’t have some sort of projectile, it’s not easy to do damage sometimes. Not that it should be, but it takes a lot of agency away from the player.

If you played co-op during the beta, you’ve encountered the connection issues. Honestly didn’t happen all that often throughout the campaign, but it was the true boss of the crucible. I played with one other person, and we got to the boss maybe 1 in 10 tries, and were only able to beat him once without disconnecting. Hopefully all of that is handled before it comes out at the end of the month.

Uniques are also INSANELY rare. Almost 40 hours and I’ve had 2 drop, both from the crucible boss.

Lastly, and the actual worst part about this game, the contextual jump: Good god can it be janky. This is something I wholeheartedly think needs to be optional. Give us a jump button.

Even with all of this, this game is solid. Took about 30 hours to beat the campaign, probably could have been under 25 without messing around (constantly having me or my buddy crashing/dc-ing and being too stubborn to give up) in the crucible. It’s probably my favorite soulslike game that I’ve played. And my god is the parry just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ *chefs kiss*. Worth every penny on sale ($28). It’s a little short right now, but I’ll be playing through it again once co-op comes out fully, and absolutely every time there’s a new content release.

They had a great method of crafting and completely removed it because "it added too much complexity,". They disliked they market being flooded with mid tier gear and how easy it was to craft USABLE items. Instead of trying to adjust, they trashed it entirely to favor the no-life crafters and lottery winners without adjusting crafting-currency drop rates.

Honestly I was super excited for this league until I heard from a random TikTok that homogenizing had been taken out, something they mentioned kind of off-handedly 3 hours in to the Q&A. Now it's back to random and expensive slamming.

One step forward, 5 steps back.

Early SCP 5K (even before the name change) had the best gunplay. ♥♥♥♥ was CRISPy, and some of the best out of any shooter I've ever played on PC. The movement felt fluid while not being to fast, but they want to have a PvP deathmatch aspect (that WILL NOT be successful). They should have left the game as PvE and opened the workshop for community made levels and maps. Now they have a weird off center weapon sway that makes the gameplay all-together unenjoyable and the movement feels like walking and jumping through pudding. I don't think I'll be playing anymore of the updates.

Follow the instructions in this link and it will help tremendously. Use the search bar in the upper right of the file manager, and make sure you do it the note editor, not the actual file itself. It may be a bit buggy still, but this game is worth it to any Hitman fan.

I've watched a few videos of this, and I've had my eye on it for a while now. Little Nightmares is a fun game, even though
it's short. Could be completed in about an hour if you didnt ♥♥♥♥ around like me.

I haven't gotten to the DLC yet, but from what I've played, $8 is well worth the price right now. In the complete edition you get everything except the soundtrack, and I believe they extend the game by another hour or two.

The credits are unskippable and as long as the base game, but at least they give props to the guy that cleans their toilets.
