This new Amnesia game goes hard on the atmosphere and level design, and while it leaves a bit to be desired, it feels like Frictional Games is taking the series in a fresh new direction, teetering close to the immersive sim genre. Drawing inspiration from Alien Isolation you're now put in a semi-open level that you must explore with the constant threat of a monster attack hanging over you, as you search for resources and tools that allow you to unlock new areas to get closer to your goal of escaping.

The diegetic way of showing health and sanity by looking at your characters hand, as well as showing your remaining ammo by actually opening and looking inside the cylinder is a great detail that adds to the immersion.

The biggest letdown is the lacking plot; most of the notes found in the game all revolve around the immediate lead up to the events of the game, and as a whole there isn't much going on beyond that. The ending in particular feels pretty rushed and could have used some more story beats to close it off.

What Amnesia: The Bunker excels at though, as with all of Frictional's games, is atmosphere, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first playthrough of it.

A great action-horror game that offers satisfying gunplay, a spooky atmosphere, and cheeky writing. Extremely replayable as well, which is a bonus!

I have never played a Monster Hunter game before, so World was my first experience with the series. I wasn't even planning on buying it until a few days before release, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable games that I've played in a long time.

The environments in the game are Large, Rich, and Visually interesting; Every one of them being highly different from the last.
Each landscape hosts a plethora of creatures, ranging from the many different kinds of fish that inhabit the new worlds lakes and rivers, to the large monsters that the game mainly revolves around.

Co-op is a major part of Monster Hunter, and it works exceptionally well. Every weapon-type can be built in different ways, so you and your squad can compliment each other by optimizing your build to control the monster, heal your teammates, or just do as much damage as possible.

A minor complaint is the inability to progress through the main storyline together without jumping through the hoops of individually entering the quest to watch the cutscene, before leaving and joining your friends quest so you can play together. It befuddles me a bit, considering that later on in the game certain quests use shared cutscenes where you can even see all the player characters simultaneously.
The main story/questline however is, atleast to me, a rather small part of the game as a whole as once you finish it you unlock the levelling system, which allows you to unlock new quests, items and armor pieces.

If I could say one negative thing about the game it would be that a few of the monsters are very similar to eachother, not just in terms of gameplay, but also physical likeness, which is a shame, but the game makes up for it with the fourteen highly different weapon-types that all have unique attacks and combos which keeps the game interesting for me even after clocking nearly 400 hours into it.

Monster Hunter World is the best game I've had the privilege of playing this year, and I would like to thank the devs and community for giving me such a good experience!

A fun and difficult metroidvania-like game with really nice pixelart, and a delightfully cheesy story

This is the first time in a while that I have been completely blown away by a game within the first minute of starting it. Everything about Furi is incredible, the gameplay, the music, the level design, and the characters. After the first five minutes I knew this was going to become one of my favorites that I'm going to revisit often.

One of the best survival games out there. It's brutal, and even after a long time playing it's still stays difficult.

Apart from some annoying bugs and flaws, the game is very enjoyable with parkour, some great puzzles and difficult combat. The game is a bit tedious at times, but otherwise I think it's a good game, even if it's not as great as it was when I first played it.
