Early Access Review
I unfortunately have to give a negative review for the game.
I actually really enjoyed playing this game when I was able to, which you'll see my old review attached below.

But I have been supposedly banned for using a 'virtual machine' while playing the game. Which I'm entirely unaware of. Upon messaging the developer and providing info on PC etc, he says he can't lift ban and it will be permanent. So Ymir, doesn't have an anti-cheat program and will instantly permanently ban people who happen to be running any program their cheat-surveying program determines as a red-flag. If you are completely confident there is no third-party application on your PC, and you're willing to run the risk of this game not banning you for unknown applications, it really is great (See below).

Plus side of this is that it proves the developer is very anti-cheat oriented, it's just cases like mine which are incredibly unfortunate. I don't doubt that his program 'detected' some application on my PC, it's just that I have never had any intentions of cheating, and a permanent ban seems rather harsh. Hope this game continues developing as is anyways.

Really, really, really enjoy this game. I think it is important to note, that this game is a much slower strategy game than most. You can play on faster servers and/or single player and have faster speeds, but the main play style is a very slow economic/governmental simulation. I have been playing this for a month and still have very little progress, but I am hooked. I open the game every day to make sure things continue to develop. I think the balancing act of allocating resources is masterfully designed, forcing you to make tough decisions that aren't usually easy to make. Technological breakthroughs feel massive when they happen because they take time to achieve, and the benefits of these breakthroughs are noticeable and take time to utilize throughout your nation/kingdom.

My main problem with this game, is server decay.... you can't expect people to play the game forever, so once they leave, right now they just leave their vacant territories on the map which can make things challenging sometimes.

Overall I am really excited to continue playing this game, especially since I have barely scratched the surface yet, and am looking forward to future developments with the coming updates.
