Hey man, took a look at some comments you made in a forum a few months back with regards to AC3 Remastered not launching while using Shadow, I'm having the same issue and have tried everything. Submitted a support ticket with ubisoft and they essentially told me to screw off and deal with it - have you had any luck resolving it on your end?

No worries! If any part of it is a direct and literal translation without much editing, then just link back to my guide for the english translation. If you simply used my guide as information to write your own from scratch, then simple thanks is more than enough. ^_^

If there is no service running, the port is not open. It is closed.

If there is a service running and bound to that port (and the firewall is allowing connections), then the port is open.

If the firewall is dropping packets, that port is neither open nor closed. There are three states a port can be in, not two

Here's something that has always baffled me. Why is it bad to have open ports on your computer? Assuming you don't have a virus on your computer or some other program listening to a port that may actually do something why does it matter if a port is open? If some malicious person starts sending packets to a port, but nothing is there to receive the data and do something with it why does it matter? A computer doesn't just arbitrarly execute any data it receives. I understand flooding a computer with packets could cause it to crash because it just can't deal with the amount of data, but I'm only considering security issues that actually change the files on the computer.

Hi - I understand you've filed a complaint about the guide that I wrote for Half Life 2. I read the content link and says that we should attempt to resolve it against ourselves first. Belive it or not, the content was not copied, I used your guide to complete the game and then sat and rewrote my own guide for the game, I used your guide as a skeleton (with regards to the headings etc) and filled my own content from what I found from replaying the game. Games like this will always seem similar when writing guides, I have removed it as you feel its copywriting material. I was in the process of editing some videos to add to the guide, which I guess would make it unique, but anyway - I hope that clears the air, Here is my email if you want to respond: [email protected]
