This game is dope. I would rate this game 8.7/10.

The Pros:

I am a big fan of the large map and endless activities regarding both main quests and side quests. I enjoy their idea of trust progression in other villages, allowing you to recruit better and better folks from said villages as you complete side and main quests that involve the village in question. It's cool how you essentially turn your settlements into automated systems that support both your vision of your settlement and your recruits. They gather and cook for one another keeping each other happy and safe while you are gone. You still manage the people of your settlement but not in a micro-managing why. You set their work priorities and preferred stations based on their attributes and they just get to work and take breaks when necessary.

The combat system in this game is interesting, I am not the greatest with blocking and still haven't learned if my character is selecting the block direction automatically or if I am actually controlling the direction via my mouse. Aside from that, it just works. You choose your attack direction based on your movements (W, A, S, D), allowing you to make it more difficult for your opponent to block with something like a shield. The weapon and item durability system is fair, even the most basic tools will last you a good amount of time before they eventually break, they can also be repaired.

Another cool system in this game is attribute progression, I am a big fan of the fact that I can actively level my attributes by performing tasks that pertain to said attributes, while also having the ability to consume attribute based books (time based, apprentice books take 30 mins, journeyman books take 45, and I assume expert books take an hour). The consumption time makes it very balanced in terms of the progression speed, preventing the player from just speed running max attributes.

It's neat how you can play the game entirely solo or invite all of your friends to do a co-op save. I have no clue if there is a limit to the amount of players you can have on a save but we have had up to 4 at a single time. The issue lies with the session being locally hosted and no one can continue work unless the person who has the world save starts up a co-op session again.

The built in fast travel system is not just a creature comfort but is also rewarding as you have to place all of the travel signs manually and construct them yourself. They are cheap and be assembled if you just travel with an axe to gather wood and logs. It makes it feel like I am not cheating when I fast travel and that I actually earned the right to be able to do so. The only downside is you can only fast travel by yourself unless you install a mod from the workshop that allows you to travel with your party.

The "Cons":

The building mechanics in the game are interesting and very interactive, however certain structures can be an absolute pain to build. I am not speaking about resource gathering, I am speaking solely on construction time, even for some of the most basic work stations and structures. I went to build a Bird Coop so I could house chickens and roosters. When I had all of the necessary resources to start building, I quickly realized I was going be to clicking mouse 1 about 300 times to assemble the coop. You build the structures layer by layer and finish with the fine details. The bird coop made me lay down every single stick that was part of the coop fencing. I am not exaggerating with the 300 clicks. Additionally, I found the structure was holding some villagers hostage, they wouldn't navigate out of the coop and would get stuck. I had to relocate the structure which requires to you click mouse 1 300 more times to disassemble the structure and then 300 MORE clicks to put it into its new location. I spend probably 10-15 minutes clicking mouse 1 because of this situation.

Villagers will sometimes get stuck in the wilderness. Where my settlement in location there are large groupings of "Young Trees", one section is a semi-circle formation where it traps my villagers until I chop the trees down. Maybe this is my fault and I need to construct more roads? but I hardly see them use the roads we have down currently.

This isn't really a con but I would love to see something like era progression maybe included as a DLC or a free future expansion. I would love to go from the medieval time period to an era such as industrialization, with the inclusion of more modern technologies and weapons. I feel this aspect is the only thing this game is "missing" but even without it, it's still fantastic. If this game incorporated era progression, I genuinely think it would be perfect for the type of game that it is.

This game is fantastic, the standoff mechanic is funky for me I heard it works almost flawlessly for others but overall the game and the atmosphere is top notch. This is coming from an almost exclusively FPS gamer. Definitely worth every penny

SBMM with seasonal rank resets. Super lame just sweating your ass off every match playing top ranked players on rank reset and persisting in the those same rank ranged lobbies all the way through copper -> [your actual rank range].

At that point why reset the ranks if the lobbies you get matched into are the same regardless of placement.

For being only $10 this game rocks (super bias, it delivers such an H1Z1 vibe) Idk if the servers are primarily bots or not (almost all usernames are really generic). There is loot literally everywhere its awesome. The zombies are cool and there is a crazy amount of them too. They wig out and break sometimes but when you win the match and trigger them, all remaining zombies swarm you, it gets intense when you sit around and wait for the horde. I would highly recommend this game if you have a tenner ($10) laying around in your account. I haven't tried duo mode yet but if this game had an actual player base I believe it would rock. Last update was September of last year hopefully development support hasn't died yet.

I cannot seriously recommend this game to any user. I am tired of game's coming out unfinished. I have high hopes for the game in the future but it's sad that I need this mentality. I should be happy with the game now, however no publisher can ever let a game be finished before release. I swear DICE and EA board meetings are just EA executives asking if its "playable" rather than if its finished. The game needs too much work for it to even have been considered for release. The game has its moments but is far from fun. You will spend your first 50 hours finding out that the only feasible gun to use is the PP-29, all of the other guns are effected too heavily from the bloom mechanic they added into the game. Medium to long range encounters are almost all a game of chance, that's just how bad the bloom is in its current state.
