Its got jank (as most Early Access Indi's do) but despite its flaws I actually love this game. I particularly enjoy how the quest system requires me to just sit and wait for the opportune time to get something I need and I can just soak up the environment. I find the game more relaxing than anything, to be honest.

I'm conflicted because I beat the first play through in about 6 hours. The first game I beat in about 12. The cost to time didn't provide the same value—especially because sequels are hard to live up to the hype of such an original and in my opinion, masterpiece of a first game launch.

That being said, despite how I feel about the value proposition, I do think it did some things better than the first game. Combat and puzzles are repetitive just like the first game but this is a railroaded narrative game and I know that. It doesn't pretend to be anything else and for that, I overlook these issues.

The story though can also be a little slow and repetitive at first which honestly is a big reason I wouldn't consider this release as strong as the first. However, it did suck me into the story eventually.

In total, I'd wager the first game was a 5/5 star but this was perhaps a 4.8/5 or maybe a 4.5/5 for me which still puts it a cut above other releases this year in my mind. Looking forward to seeing what they do next time.

The game has a super interesting concept. Its being actively worked on and I think is a total gem. Highly recommend picking it up at this price point.

Right now if your asset is under attack by an enemy and you are about to lose it, you can transfer it to another group who has full invulnerability to protect your assets. The state of the game right now, is not playable as an MMO.

Once Starvault implements a set of procedures to transfer in-game assets and avoid exploitative behavior regarding tower and supply line controls, specifically to prevent the trading of assets if they have been attacked by siege equipment within a set timer or similar, I may reverse my review. However, and i want to reiterate, the state of the game right now, is not playable as an MMO.

Wish there was a second game in the works.

Holy F~~~ this was an experience that puts this game now in my top 5 or maybe 3? games of all time.

I started the game shortly after some of the initial hot fixes and overall the game has been super fun. Of course there are issues with AI not being super challenging and aspects of the game are woefully unbalanced but I think it was overall worth the buy.

The game has issues -- mostly in large pvp servers -- but it's still amazing. I look forward to more updates; the potential for this game to be great is so awesome!
