Nostalgia game. Still the same as I remember it.

Highly recommended

The most useless DLC ever. you get skins that are basic. the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after leveling a bit looks more cooler than these trash.

this is the type of game you should be playing with your friends. tons of fun with all the shenanigans you can do!

gameplay 8/10 (a bit repetitive but still fun specially if you play with 3 or more friends)
graphics - it doesnt matter for this game
music - not special, not bad either
story - this game has no story
price - underpriced
pc requirements - you can run it on a microwave

The concept is really great - an expansive map where you can build your base and explore to get resources.

however, this is not great cause of little things such as:
-cloth: one of the most important material is near impossible to gather
-upon death you lose all your items. so if you die once, you'll basically be starting from scratch
building a base isn't a guarantee that you can save your items. I've had 3 base built so far and then I died while scavenging for resource. Now I'm back to zero.
-respawning will always put you around the same area of the map (you can craft sleeping bags but you'll need cloth which is near impossible to get at the start and it has a cooldown). This makes griefers or just about anyone with a gun/weapon to easily kill you. They just need to wait around that area.

online play: 3/10 (can be 9/10 if you have tons of friends to form an army)

fun to play with friends!

The puzzles are pretty easy but the constant danger of the entities will make it a lot harder.

But the reason I won'd recommend this game is the matchmaking and the apparent problem with people using scripts and cheats. We would constantly be matched with high level players and lose instantly. If not highlevel, our opponents would have infinite stamina and can't be damaged. This game has been out for a few years but still riddled with such (I read that the scripts and cheats has been the same since launch)

Gameplay: 8/10

Graphics: 7/10 (but if we were back in 2016-17, the graphics would be 9/10)
Exploration: 7/10 (if they smooth out the process of traveling would be 10/10)

I was one of those people who was really hyped up about this game before the launch but didn't pre-order or bought at launch. I was still going to buy but ultimately waited for the reviews first.

Then the reviews came together with tons of memes... Suffice to say, I didnt continue to buying it.

Now 5 years later, I saw it on sale and most reviews are now positive with the majority applauding Hello Games for fixing and updating the game constantly even after all these years. Not even a month after purchasing the game, they sent in another update. Absolute chads in making their promise to fix them game.

So naturally, I bought it and the game is really good albeit a few mechanics are dated now, well at least for me since I've been playing a lot of newer games like MHW, WWZ, FFXV and the most recent-Elden Ring to name a few.

great demo game. 10/10 would buy the actual game (but I'm a cheapskate so I will wait for steam sale)
