The ending of this VN almost made me cry with how heartwarming it was and I haven't had a VN do that to me for a very, very long time.

Please play this game.

Probably one of the best-written, atmospheric Armored Core games that Fromsoft has made in a long time, the last time being Last Raven for me.

Needs more parts and weapon buffs/nerfs and it'd be the perfect one, maybe some boss tuning, but I honestly can't fault them for the bosses since they haven't had to try and balance Armored Core movement and combat around a boss that wasn't an AC since Verdict Day which was made 10 years ago, and they've been stuck on having to do stuff for humanoids using the Souls movement system.

To all of the people who're struggling with the game, remember that there's no shame in replaying missions to get money for new parts, or experimenting with new builds at the checkpoints, or taking breaks if it's frustrating you.

My only major complaint is that the game needs a few optimization patches to prevent driver crashes/regular crashes. I haven't touched the Multiplayer yet so I can't comment on meta builds being used all around but I do know it's happening.

I'm never going to experience a game like this again and that makes me very upset.

Please play it.

It's been years since I played To The Moon, and even after replaying it in order to get myself ready for both Finding Paradise and Impostor Factory, I felt like since I was older that these silly little RPGMaker games wouldn't have an effect on me anymore.

Cut to me at the end of this magnificently written game, on the verge of breaking down.

Kan Gao continues making quality even after the first release of To The Moon and I never want him to stop.

As someone who's played the original 3 PS2 games in anticipation for this, it certainly delivered in many places, the combat, the music and the usual stress-inducing stunts you can pull on every mission if you feel like being an inner Top Gun pilot. The story isn't as impactful on an individual level, with you switching squadrons a total of 3 times, so you can't exactly bond with any of your squadmates (not that it matters if you do because you do all of the work for all of them, the squadmate A.I is a little less intelligent than in the PS2 trilogy...)

However, the over-arching theme of technology being relied on more and more and what would happen if something went wrong with it one day is very nice, though there's always a kind of over-arching theme in these games (ACZ with it's anti-nuke theme, AC5 with it's anti-war, and AC4 displaying what it's like to a civilian to go through an occupied city during a war).

Overall, I'd rate it an 8/10, this could change on how the DLC does, and I certainly recommend it for those who want a flight game that isn't an exact sim, nor an exact arcade, kind of middling.

the old lore was ruined once it got out of alpha

aside from that, it can be great with enough modding

My old review was pretty lackluster and admittedly, bad. NMRiH is basically multiplayer shenanigans (I wouldn't go as far as to call it co-op because you can kill eachother pretty easily if the option is enabled) with zombies. Objective maps are probably the most fun, with wave survival being kind of fun, depending on the map. Though most maps usually have you having to get a timed escape.

Honestly, there isn't much else for me to say that others haven't already said about it, probably. Get some friends and give it a try.

somehow this game outlived overwatch and that's an accomplishment to how active it still is despite no major updates for a long time
