While I didn't enjoy this game as much as the first one and was very confused by the story (or lack thereof, I suppose), it's still a really neat experience! The music and settings are stellar and a lot of the new gameplay mechanics spice things up. The villains are terrifying as well, yeesh.

Overall, 6/10.

This game takes so much effort to make somewhat work. Just don't bother.

Fantastic game, I've had so much fun with it. Possibly the best in the whole series, introducing very good concepts such as charging enemies (giving combat variation), a fully functional Batmobile, access to all of Gotham City, and a great roster of characters. While most others disagree and believe the Batmobile brings down the game, it becomes a much better experience when it's fully upgraded and driven with a controller. Much smoother when you have more control than just WASD on the keyboard.

There's something so foreign in its aesthetic though and it feels too gritty, "realistic" and detached from the other games with a new rendering engine and a redesign for all the characters. It's not a big deal though.

The updated combat with the ability to punch thugs while they're down, use gadgets while gliding as well as the added medic mechanic and changes to brutes and ninjas is fantastic when you are used to it. The flow of the combat has definitely changed from the last games and was not easy to become accustomed to especially after playing both Origins and City for years, which are reskins of each other.

The predator encounters are way too easy now though, modifying several takedowns to now be silent. There's not as much intensity when you can get away with much more. Even if they weren't modified, and were kept as loud takedowns, the fear takedown still takes away from the experience. You can literally take out 5 men in the matter of seconds. It is kind of fun being an absolute powerhouse though. The new sentry turrets are a pretty cool addition as well as optic deflection suit enemies which are invisible in predator mode.

I had fun, but there are flaws introduced from being an overwhelming game, 8/10.

Real fun to kill time. Really good entry in the franchise so far. Would recommend.
