This review isnt for everyone this is for the DOOM 2016 players.

I in my hype for eternal play through all of DOOM 2016 ULTRA VIOLENCE Campaign before doing the same for DOOM Eternal. This is based off what i exprienced within that Playthrough

This game isnt a better doom game. It plays very close but far to DOOM 2016. So why is that ?
You move slower than the Hell knight and melee enemies you would see the hell knight as motivation to keep moving till its dead making sure to not get caught up in killing everything else around you. Here the hell knight is something to dash away from unless you went the movement speed after glory kill rune. Then its so slow you can ignore it kill everything else ranged that has laser tracking or will stun lock you into instant death due to kinda buggy knockback mechanics. F#%^ THE SNAKES AND THE MARAUDER and not because they take so long to kill or the Marauder reducing THE DOOM SLAYER to footies where he breaks the rules and fires off a snipe when your mid range or dashes twice into you to shot gun you when your following the rules this game FORCES you to follow. No the problem i have with these two is the DAMN BUGGY KNOCKBACK. I have had full health and armor only to be gibbed by getting stuck in the Marauder because his axe attack bugged me into him or the snakes ground wave would trapped me into a wallwhere i would be stuck in a chain of whip attacks trapping me there no matter how i tried to dash. This combined with so much little snippets and ledges snagging my movement and messing up my flow of movement something that NEVER happened in DOOM 2016 tho I'm im willing to admit this could be due to luck on my part. However JESUS IT HAPPENS SO MUCH IN THIS GAME. THAT AND WHO IN THE HELL THAT SLAYER HASN'T SLAIN THOUGHT THAT PURPLE GOO WAS A GOOD IDEA ? I mean okay reduce base movement speed then add dashes then add something that reduces the movement even more and then cancel out the new mobilty that already has a cooldown. FIX THE STUPID PUNCH MECHANICS the armored Mancubus is the worst for this because it bugs out so often and gets me killed.

Those are the biggest things that ruined my playtime the most the rest im about to talk about just annoys me alot. Jesus so many cut scenes and moments im locked in my movement. Why take away my pistol and reduce my ammo pool by what seems like nearly half. And before you BUT CHAINSAW ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ try that yeah i know how to get ammo back but I don't want to be forced to use other weapons when i only enjoy the 3 weapons and playstyles so much more and have to panic run around looking for an imp or zombie losing health and armor or get insta gibbed from previously mention buggy knockback mechanics. Why make my punch have cooldown and do no damage unless for blood punch. Is that why we have that pointless arm blade ? But i still think oh i can rip them in half or pull organs out with both Blade and Fist but i have a useless melee ? WHY REMOVE MY DOUBLE SHOT SUPER SHOTGUN WHY!!!!! TUTORIALS FOR ENIEMES WHY THIS IS DOOM THATS SO DUMB. You made THE DOOM SLAYER Kneel to a king ? ♥♥♥♥ you whichever writer thought that made sense. Doom guy swimming ........weird Doom guy climbing ......weird . Why did Doom guy ever leave his sword in the First place ? not jsut snap it and reforge it sense all the stuff is right there on the planet anyway? Auto shotgun is fun but not enough ammo to enjoy it. SO MANY UNFAIR DEMON SPAWNS IN HALLWAYS. Only fun Kinda fun boss fights was the gladiator and Makyr both of which you never seem a copy of again UNLIKE THE STUPID ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MARAUDER.

Thats all I could recall of after finishing with plenty of breaks in between because unlike DOOM 2016 this game is a headache at times and okay at others. Too generic feeling for me I'm sure plenty of you are still blind to the problems or couldn't put your finger on it or you enjoyed the change with no heed to the last game or didn't mind. IT ISN'T A BAD GAME really as far as i can tell it isnt bad its like another reveiwer said somewhere here on steam its like DOOM 3 still DOOM just a different Flavor (or something like that) Personally id wait for a sale unless you liked the multiplayer which i don't care for in the first or second. maybe this game is more multiplayer focused then the last idk.


EDIT: Also bugs me that when i chainsaw something it looks like skittles aka a rainbow pops out.
