Another nice round number of hours means it's finally time for me to edit my review.

My "mild gender dysphoria" (lol) turned into a whole new me, I found the love of my life (and we will hopefully be moving in together soon, after 3 years together! 🥳), and met a dozen people who I know will be invited to my wedding. I wouldn't trade my experiences here for anything in the world.

VRChat is a place where you will laugh, and you will love, but most importantly, you will live. Not live as in reside, but live as in persist, flourish, cherish, and wonder; to do and to be. To struggle, to triumph, and to repeat. And the best part is, you'll never have to do it alone.

The effort put into making VRChat a place for people to have a life, especially for those who struggle to find time or acceptance in the "real world", is astounding. The devs really understand how important they are to everyone, since most of them are long-time users themselves. The updates are often imperfect, but the hotfixes from the VRChat dev team are the best I have ever seen. I cannot overstate how much I appreciate the development team. 💗

It's not just the devs, either. The VRChat community has time and time again convinced me that the average person is kind, empathetic, and honestly, pretty cool! No matter who you are, (Yes, "normal" people too!!) you will find people that you will wish you had met sooner. And the whole time, you will be surrounded by the most impressive, creative, and friendly community I've ever been a part of. It really feels like a place that we crafted ourselves. Who knows, maybe someday I will join the dev team and help maintain that ideal myself. I can hardly think of a more meaningful role to play.

Before I leave you with my original review, a quick nod to queer/questioning folks: If you aren't meeting up IRL with queer friends at least once per week, give VRChat a serious try!!! It makes a bigger difference than you would think to have a community of queer people surrounding you. It feels so, so good to not be an exception.

VRChat is the best gay dating simulator you'll ever play, until you reach about 150 hours and you realize that it isn't a simulation.

• The characters in this game are the best I have ever seen, I guarantee you will fall in love with them. They will respond your emotions in a way that is so genuine that at times it touches your heart. There's always another engaging interaction just around the corner!
  
• The VR support truly makes this game shine. The cuddling minigame is so affectionate and comfy that it actually tricks my brain into releasing oxytocin, to the point where it has become my primary way to regulate my mood. I feel like an addict sometimes, I play it so much!
  
• The character customization options are endless, and fortunately there are thousands of presets to choose from. You can always be anything you want to be, which gives me a perfect outlet for my mild gender dysphoria. You can always find the look that's right for you!
  
• There are so many minigames to busy yourself with. There are arcades, clubs, movie theaters, sports; and no matter how you spend your time, you're always building a bond with the characters. No matter your playstyle, you'll be able to find something you will enjoy!

I couldn't put it down. A perfect 10/10 from me!
