its an okay game i suppose, but the lack of ONLINE COOP in the modern day makes it utterly worthless. this game isnt meant to be played solo, and doing so will only result in you having a terrible, boring time. the only co-op it supports is someone sitting right next to you using another controller connected to your PC. which was totally acceptable back on the PS2, but this isnt 2004, and that nonsense no longer flies. the entire game is balanced around you having multiple party members.

much better than the previous game, for the most part. still has the trash random generation nonsense and oversize areas, but not quite as tiresome where you have to slowly sift through every tiny room to find all the hidden items, the areas are mostly more open, which gives a much better view of where to go while the areas themselves are built better than before. ironically, the game also runs FAR better than remnant 1, entirely because of FSR3/dlss or whatever, but hey it works and it looks great.
your character is ACTUALLY a character here too. sometimes you talk in cutscenes. the story is still garbage, just mash Y everytime someone starts talking, they never tell you anything you need to know. if you wanna listen to the dialogue, its done decently. the voice actors are mostly all passable, and the clips themselves dont have awkward 1-2 second pauses in between every line like japanese RPG's always do for some reason.
the character creator is still trash. you basically have 6 different shades of the same face with more or less wrinkles, and a bare handful of bad looking super short haircuts that mostly look the same. fashion souls this aint, all the armor looks like trash. TONS of rings but very few youll every want to actually use, the same goes for the mods for weapons, the addon things for weapons, pretty much every single consumable, etc. theres a ton of "content" but not much of it really seems to have been thought out very well.

its a fun run and gunner. you run, you gun, and sometimes you smash things faces in with a big ass club. but whatever you do, DO NOT EVER USE THE FLAMETHROWER.

nothing much to see here. its marketted as an NSFW game, but thats just to trick you into playing past the refund period in hopes of finding the implied porn. the actual game is VERY basic:

3 characters with "upgrades" to their weapons that change the "element" which just amounts to basically a weak DOT that changes the way said DOT is displayed. only about a dozen or so upgrades when you "level up", and all you get is 1 of those perks, no increase to base stats. about 2 dozen items, few of which have any form of synergy meaning youll just use the same ones stacked. a handful of character specific upgrades to your main or sub weapon after each level, but 75% are either worthless or so bad theyre actually worse than the default weapon.

theres a total of 4 stages. the game has you play these 4 stages 4 times to beat the game. each stage has exactly 3 standard enemies, 1 miniboss, and 1 of 3 bosses. none of the minibosses are even remotely fun to fight, and the bosses come in 2 flavors: impotent trash who cant last more than 5 seconds, and ridiculous deathgods who fill the room with AOE attacks and have random invulnerability periods. some boss attacks have a red area warning you of where their atack will be, some just fire off with no warning that the attack is a 360 degree AOE even though it LOOKS like a frontwards thrust.

much of the game dosent really work correctly. about 1/3 of the items are bugged in 1 way or another, such as the speed boost item which SAYS it adds 15%, but actually increases your move speed by 150%, but if you upgrade it it works correctly and drops you down to 30%. or the "thorns" perk that dosent ever seem to activate.

overall, it would be an okay free game. but realistically speaking, the first castlevania is more advanced than this game, and at least that dosent try to lure you in with fake porn and no R18 patch to get dem big tiddie anime girls nekkid like their supposed to be.

kinda wish this was more a percentage system then "recommend or dont". this is the best version of the game, it looks fantastic and has some QOL features such as automating the QTE nonsense for people who hate that garbage. unfortunately, its the same buggy mess that the original console version is. youll have to occasionally quit the game and restart it to make cutscenes and levels load correctly, hit detection is terrible, and every time you run up to another intractable object its a different random button for no reason other than to make you possibly fail the QTE's.

but the game itself is great. its funny as hell, and fun to just run through curb stomping enemies into the dirt. its ridiculously easy, and the boss battle suck because of this, being all 3 separate "phases" of the same crap over an over. the joy in this game comes from the hilarious banter and dialogue. DO NOT BUY IT AT FULL PRICE. this is a 4 hour long game, its absolutely NOT worth $45. the current "discount" of this old niche game of $30 is even pushing it, and really only worth it if you already love the game and just wanted to play it at higher resolution. this game is worth $15 tops, as its nothing but a very short very sparse DMC clone with panty shots and profuse levels of profanity and fat shaming. it also runs like crap, with very little in the way for graphic options. many of the 2d images for the UI and load screens are the exact same low resolution ones from the original game, not even upscaled, just stretched so they always look like trash.

extremely bare bones early 2000's quality MMORPG. nothing much to do, barely any content, terrible controls. if it were free it would be okay, but this is absolutely not worth paying for.

complete and utter garbage. you will get matched specifically against decks that hard counter yours over and over. youll go through 20+ game streaks where you play second. youll notice the rigged card draws almost immediately, with instances of your entire decks clearly being "shuffled" to have exact counters for what the other person does EXACTLY when you need them just for the purpose of inflating the game time. 90% of players are mental invalids and take 60+ seconds (yes, it will give the OTHER guy that much time) to place a single land and end their turn. drafts DONT have you play against the people you just drew said draft with, but rather against "random" decks that are NOT from any draft, thus youll be running draft decks against fully optimized cancerous google decks.

about 30 minutes of game with another hour of poorly written "dialogue". not many sex scenes, and what there are are mostly just the same scene in a slightly different position. $2 game at max.

extremely sparse content mired in terrible decisions. the only way to survive in this game is to cheat, and even that only gets you so far. not much of a plot, nor explanation of much of anything. tons of RNG and its all against you. all the random events are negative to the extreme, with many being an instant game over if you make any of the 3 wrong choices out of 4.

complete and utter trash. its a complicated bonzai buddy that draws garbage text from some unknown "ai" source, and mostly only speaks in chinese and microsoft sarah. no instructions whatsoever, or if there are they are buried under mounds of broken chenglish. also, the workshop is full to the brim with pedo stuff, so you know who this is for.
