it was an okay game, until they added a EULA a day or two ago, that allows them to run hundreds of background applications, many of which are shady as all hell. they also get the right to collect all user data they can find about you and sell it. it allows the use of multiple web trackers to acomplish this, and might have a few webcam grabbers and desktop capturers for the most invasive, agressive middle finger to the paying customer. test edit to see if the developers blocked my ability to edit this.

mkay so i forgot i already edited it to be more accurate. just an FYI, for several weeks after i posted this review, i was unable to edit it to be more accurate because the developer was trying to flag my review to get it removed. secondly, its my review and i can delete whatever comments i want. most of those were people trying to start an E-fight, or people going "nuhuh games totally legit, dosent matter what the EULA says about its shady and illegal usage of tracking software and facial recognition software". this developer is partnered with JagEX, which should be a massive red flag right from the gate. the EULA does (or did, havent bothered booting this up since the dev added that and removed my ability to even start the game) in fact give jagEX, the actual owners of the game since he sold it, the "right" to instal a ton of shady and illegal tracking, monitoring, and facial recognition "services" as well as the ability to take webcam captures and desktop captures. the "proof" is/was right in the EULA, or more accurately the tetiary doccuments the EULA link(ed)s to that is a list of hundreds of shady, illegal software "services" and a handful of basic libraries.

also VERY interesting how the review with the most "helpful" votes literally dosent even show up on the store front anymore. nothing at all shady about reviews with 100-200 people calling it helpful, and less than 10 words said about the game, sit several pages above a review with nearly 1,000 helpful votes, and over 100 awards.

edit for the DLC: oh man, anyone remember when the dev was swearing that anyone who bought the game got the first 3 DLC for free? well now each ones half the cost of the game, and barely adds anything to it. also really nice to see that i was 100% right. wanna use mods? use the cloud. and for the cloud you need to make 2 separate accounts youre not going to remember exist, but will absolutely be used to correlate your data more accurately. even better, the "mods" youre downloading? guess what? you already gave them permission to install keyloggers, geotrackers, webcam grabbers and everything else under the sun. ever wonder why this game all of a sudden started taking a massive amount of CPU and RAM to do some very basic number crunching? cause those mods aint as safe and clean as you might think. the "core" one alone has about a dozen different data miners running in the background whenever the games up if you have it installed.
