Its time for my yearly review for the steam awards. That being said, I wont just give a BS review for the sake of it.

With WOTR finished content wise, I have to say this game is phenomenal. I find myself returning over and over to try out new builds. You need minimum 10 playthroughs to experience everything this game has to offer which I personally love. Even without that though, a single playthrough will be amazing, just don't complain if you struggle to make your Mythic Path choice.

Companions are, in my opinion, one of the weaker things the game has to offer. They have some decent questlines, but overall feel a little bland. In addition, Owlcat failed to make good companions for the hardest difficulty so as you increase the difficulty you will have fewer and fewer companions that will be viable, and if a companion comes in past level 8, you have to just accept wasted feats or build them the same way Owlcat envisioned. You can get around this with the use of Mercenaries or mods that let you do full retrain on companions, but neither feels good to me.

Overall, if my biggest gripe with a game is the companions feel a little weak (and there are ways around the issue) I think the game is well worth the price and playing multiple times.

Fun to screw around with friends but not really worth the price so wait for a sale.

Early Access Review
When I first played this game, I got scarred easily at the sight of the ghost. I now offer to suck the ghosts toes if it will show itself so I can get the extra $20 for a picture while half asleep and the rest of my team cowers in the van. 10/10 would recommend.

I got this game when it first released in 2016 and it was a buggy mess. First game that I played I got stuck in a pallet and was unable to do anything making me want to put it down. I continued to play with friends only but after a month I decided it wasn't for me and put it down.

It has been two years and the game has improved a lot. There are about triple to characters of the game I bought two years ago. The bugs that put me off when I first played have been dealt with for the most part and I have new friends to play with. I have added about 35 hours in the last week because of this and have now bought all but two dlcs.

I recammend this game to take out anger as killer or have a lot of fun with friends as survivor. If you don't have friends then you can always go to their discord server and find some friends to play with.

10/10 would pallet loop again.

I started with this game about 4-5 years ago when I got it for free on XBOX and I hated it. Couldn't get past the first boss so I put it down and thought I would never play it again. Then last year I tried Dark Souls III and the first 10 minutes made me fall in love. Now that I was better at games and had more patience I could enjoy the game. My Uncle then saw me playing a lot of DS3 and got me the first two games so after beating the third I came back to this to have more fun. I got past the first boss this time because I learned that you have to look around and be aware of your surroundings to survive these games. After that it kicked my ass but I kept playing and am still playing now because it is so damn fun. Definitly recomend but be ready to learn what Dark Souls truely is if you are coming from another game because this is the true meaning of the name.
