Very good, played on the alpha and thought I would buy it in case it released and here we are. Pretty good game, sometimes the online sessions crash but overall it works very well.

7/10
Developers focused on mechanics and making the game a good multiplayer experience, which I commend. The multiplayer feels right (I have played only a few matches though) and the characters are fun to play. The gamaplay is quite fast.

Negatives are noticeable, music is quite mediocre, would recommend to listen once and then mute. Voices are non-existant but I believe they will be added in the future. The game feels very "indie", because it is. The problem is that it is priced as a AAA game which might be a little expensive. Fortunately for me I live in a banana republic where games are priced cheaper, but if I paid 50 bucks for this I would feel scammed.

The game is really good. Easy to learn the basics, and you can invest a lot and become stronger. Every character is unique and has gorgeous anime characters with awesome animations.
But... I can't recommend a game that can take 30 minutes to log in, which is mandatory even to play Solo. That's unacceptable, get your sh!t together and fix this, it is as simple as having login servers outside of japan geez, this game is selling so well and you cheap out on servers, c'mon!

Context: This game requires to ping the main server in Japan many times to enter the main menu, this makes that people outside that country can take from 5 to 30 minutes to log in, depending on the latency between their current location and Japan.

I played this game on launch until season 1, I stopped playing for two reasons: you required Origin to play and Season Pass sucked. Both problems are now solved; You no longer need to have EA malware installed to play and it is possible to complete the Season Pass playing online a few games daily.
If you want to add money, I suggest buying one of the "packs" that include 1000 apex coins and a Legendary Skin for a Legend (Octane, Lifeline, Pathfinder and Bloodhound). During sales they cost the same as adding coins in-game.
Buying skins and boxes directly in the store from the game is absurdly expensive, I suggest you stick to get boxes leveling and buying the Season Pass.

The game is fun. But it is disappointing in so many aspects.
If you have never played a fighting game before, this is a good choice for an entry point. The game is quite easy to play and has very little content, characters have only 1 special, something we haven't seen since Super Street Fighter 2. Even Street Fighter Alpha had multiple specials and modalities to play. The main concern you will notice that there is practically no choice in how to play a character, there is one way and one way only.
It has absolutely nothing new to offer to the Street Fighter franchise. It is a downgrade from Street Fighter 4 which was a downgrade from Street Fighter 3.
Capcom has been lazy and very disrespectful to their audience, this game has plenty of technical characteristics to make it "accessible" to new audiences (excessive intentional input lag, combos way too easy to do, change in the way some techiques are done), which would not be a problem if they did not hamper the experience for avid players and fans of the franchise but they do. As a result, you will have players with little skills pulling out flashy combos and a lot of comebacks, but in turn, the skill ceiling is quite low.
The game is not bad, you will probably have fun here and there but it has no depth. If you really like Street Fighter, stick to Fightcade with Third Strike and Alpha 3. If you are lucky you could try to play SF4 online but I have not been able in a while due to the crappy servers they left when SF5 launched.

I could not care less for the the fact that it is a My Little Pony game if the fighting mechanics were appealing to me. The game has 4 attacking buttons, and apparently shares the Skullgirls' vision were you are supposed to lift the opponent and do wacky combos. Currently, it has 6 very uninspired and unappealing characters.
If you like these kind of fighting games reminiscent of Marvel vs Capcom newer games you probably should get Skullgirls or FighterZ. If you already have and love those games, love My Little Pony stuff and think you can spend 15 bucks for 30 minutes of novelty at most... then buy this game.
