If I had to recommend a game to someone I know nothing about, it'd have to be Balatro

This game feels like something I'd find on my family computer in the 2000s: Casual, easy to get into, something that everyone in the family wants to take turns at. Balatro is just plain fun, and for some reason reminds me of early PopCap games.

The game mechanics are surprisingly deep, and can hook you in for tens of hours in your first week of playing this game. I would advise you to not buy this game if you have any finals or major projects due in the next week or so, this game is incredibly addictive.

I genuinely don't think it is possible for someone to not get anything out of this game. If you're like me, you'll be consistently coming back to Balatro for years to come.

Action packed and cubetacular. Very fun casual game with friends and very nice level editor

Masterclass of the rogue-like genre so long as you're up for the challenge. Dead Cells doesn't hold your hand but it also doesn't throw cheap tricks at you. Every attack pattern is telegraphed and can be reacted to, and the RNG is well balanced to where most available playstyles are perfectly viable on every run.

It is the embodiment of "Skill issue" and is all about getting better. Every victory feels deserved.

This game never truly leaves you, the factory must grow

Genuinely the best platform level maker out there

Very addicting tower defence game. Great progression and game design choices, nice soundtrack, and simple but not ugly graphics. A must try if you're getting into the tower defence genre.

Slay the Skill Issue (Good game I'm just bad at it)

Local wizard obtains godhood and still dies due to skill issue

I'm not sure if there's a single other zombie game that treats you like a struggling survivor instead of a complete badass. The amount of depth and realism to this game is actually kind of insane. The devs are great and the modding scene is one of the best out there.

10/10 this game is a masterpiece
