This game nails atmosphere. Every locale has a feel and a tone. Every enemy seems so painstakingly designed to achieve a certain reaction or illicit some specific feeling. When you visibly and noticeably reel back from an enemy when it first shows it's face/tentacles/wings/handface/cthulhuface/etc, you know that the design is spot on. People talk about the difficulty, and the challenge provides great satisfaction, but this game feels so vast and hopeless and strikes such a great feeling throughout every single section of the game. Any graphical/sound glitches are easily lost in the immersion I've felt in this world. Highly recommended to anybody wanting a good escape.
