Sometimes, I play video games. Games where you push buttons or keys, and something on a screen moves according to what buttons I pushed. Games where a screen or monitor displays all that I need, a digital form of entertainment meant to keep me playing. I have played a lot of these games over a long period of time. But despite all these games being made to sell and gain a profit, sometimes, I play a game that changes me in a way. Its like a good book, or a movie, where once you finish it, you become a new person, or at least part of you does. Maybe you learned something about yourself, or how you feel about a certain thing. Perhaps your eyes were opened to something you have never thought about before. Or, its not impossible that the media you consumed helped you though a difficult time in your life. Whatever the reason, sometimes video games will leave an impact on your life, that you will never forget. And with all this in mind, Disney's Chicken Little is not a video game. It is an experience.

The game starts off with a menu screen, that is bouncing back and fourth, popping at you, the viewer. Some may see this as a way to show that the game is meant to be like a cartoon, with its exaggerated movement and never still like quality. At first glance, yes, it would seem that way, but the more you search into your soul, you will come to realize this menu screen, always bobbing along to the rhythm, is a metaphor for life itself. It keeps on going, dancing almost to the breeze, the music that plays throughout our lives. It never stops, for life will go on. The game starts by showing a clip from the Disney's Chicken Little theatrical film, not starting at the beginning, but rather right past the intro. Life, with all its challenges does not start of simple, and in life you must expect to be put in situations almost at random, with nothing to ease you into it. By putting you into the action straight away, Chicken Little the video game shows a powerful message about how sometimes, you must expect to be rushed into a situation without context, and that in order to thrive as a person, we must be able to handle ourselves outside of our comfort zone.

The cutscene shows the protagonist of this tale, Chicken Little, has missed the school bus, and must find a way to get to his school on time without being late. The school bus of course, is a way of showing the pace of a meaningless life, for a life without challenge is not a life at all. The game begins, as we control Chicken Little and try to race against the clock so he can make it to class on time. We find ourselves on a grassy platform, atop a hill. The music cheerfully playing for us to take in, and enjoy the wonders of the world we have spawned in. In front of Chicken Little is a wooden bridge, with floating collectible acorns, gracefully spinning on it. Chicken Little says aloud "Great, an acorn." in a sarcastic tone, showing his distaste for the nuts. However, the nuts must be collected to progress, which shows a powerful lesson that in life, we must confront what we dislike to live to its fullest. Some platforming must be completed to progress, each jump representing a challenge one must face to define their truest self. Up ahead, roadwork signs block the path, and Chicken Little must throw a Yo-Yo toy to destroy the obstacles, this of course being a metaphor for confronting issues to ourselves and our mind head on.

As you continue though the area, more platforming must be accomplished to progress, as well as more acorns. The more acorns you collect, the more health you gain. As previously established, Chicken Little seems to have a dislike for the acorns, despite the fact they help him gain strength. This of course, is a clever way of showing that even if it is something you despise, if it does not kill you, it makes you stronger. After making it further along, the screen cuts back to the schoolhouse, where a female fox is shown holding a doll of Chicken Little himself. The doll says a few lines, seemingly mimicking Chicken Little, and then the screen cuts back to the game. Up ahead, the doll is found walking on its own in an automated fashion, and tries to hurt the real Chicken Little. By using the Yo-Yo once more as a weapon, the doll is defeated. This unique battle system displays the fact that sometimes, you must defeat the worst parts inside of you in order to find your truest self.

Finally, after making it to the school, Chicken Little discovers the door is sealed, and cannot be opened. It is revealed to accomplish the goal of getting inside, another entrance must be found. He finds a soda machine outside the school building, and seemingly hatches a plan, that is not revealed to the player at this time. This of course, is another way of showing that in the path of life, sometimes the end goal is not known, but alas, we must progress forward. Fifteen coins are needed to continue the mission, and Chicken Little sets off to the playground to find change, seemingly for the soda machine discovered prior. As Chicken little hops around the Jungle Gym, more dolls of himself appear, to which Chicken Little fends them off with his Yo-Yo. This is a symbolic scene, as he must face himself over and over in combat, to prove that only the best of himself will thrive. Coins are scattered around the playground, and Chicken Little jumps from equipment to equipment, collecting each of them, in hopes that he can find enough for his plan.

then the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game crashed and it wont open again solid 6/10
