As an exploration game it's quite simple, but still manages to stay charming and beautiful throughout. Sable is a game about your journey, the paths you choose to take, fueling your sense of curiosity.

The game is not without its flaws, as it's still buggy at the time of this review, and can feel a little too barren and empty at times. It's a slow and steady wins the race kind of game, not that any winning is required here.

I just couldn't stop playing it! It's got charm, mystery, and battles that get really intense. Loved the music, too!

Better than expected! I especially like how the game plays around its own mechanics rather than borrow from other side-scrollers.
The story is also interesting throughout but I have some reservations (maybe I missed some exploration). Standard difficulty was almost a breeze, but there are more difficulty options for those who'd like that. Controls can take some getting used to, but movement and attacking is snappy and feels right. Music has its ups and downs, not a big fan tbh. Overall quite enjoyable.

This game is surprisingly good. My initial skepticism completely vanished after venturing past the starting area, as the world kept on getting bigger with plenty of areas to explore.

With a similar healing and stamina regeneration mechanic to Dark Souls, combat becomes well paced, and in no occaison (so far) did I feel that the game was unfair or too difficult. Leveling is somewhat not well explained, as you need to have atonement points to do so in addition to the sins cost.

The atmosphere and sound design is quite well made. Even with the limited color palette the game has, the environment instills a sense of dread and abandonment.

This is definitely a game I would recommend to any metroidvania/souls fan.

Definitely worth getting. It's got a great sense of humor without coming off as forced, and the exploration is a lot of fun, too.
